New windows, roof, and fixed rot caused by water damage

Great company. We are very very pleased with the work they did putting in our bedroom windows. They also repaired rot from water damage and put on our new roof. They are on time and committed to quality. Thank you Gary we will definitely be calling you in the future

Integrity and responsibility! Look at the personal characteristics and you will see the professional ethics or in this case the lack thereof. Two projects with a general contractor with a third added project. Horse farm requiring vigilant observation and practice. Debris and nails/staples are not an option to remain laying on the ground. We had to spend 3hrs checking the barn area for metal debris with a magnet and are still policing staples and nails around our house and driveway. We had a porch roof added to our home, which required being tied into the original roof. Our approx. 40 y/o Metalbestos exhaust cap was destroyed adding cost to the project and another contractor to correct the exhaust duct work. The attic was full of debris (nails and shingle pieces. The tie in area was a collection site for pieces of wood, metal duct work, and nails so numerous at least 5lbs remained. We had to insist our shower exhaust required ventilation to the outside as directed by code to avoid black mold. He or his crew removed our landscaping lights and left them in a pile for us to replace. He gave us his receipt for labor and when asked to sharpen the pencil, because of the many issues and our participation in following behind his crew to clean up and return our home to normal. Gary would not accept responsibility and it was someone else's action or fault. When he did not like what I would state to him, he would contact my wife to complain about me communicating to him. As the lead, he is the captain of the ship and overall responsible. We had many conferences with our general contractor about Gary, which led to these two not having a great relationship. As it was there was tension between them from a previous project with a large discrepancy of workmanship requiring the general contractor to return and correct Gary's errors. We felt this was a difficult situation to be in and Gary's displayed poor workmanship, lack or professionalism, lack of customer service, and he was price gouging to drive up costs. If we would pay his fees he was not going to pay Eighty-Four lumber for his added supplies, (the majority of the supplies came from Lezzer Lumber and would have been appropriately on site if he would have communicated with the general contractor of his dates of reporting to the job site). He stated, " let Eighty-four put a lien on our property. Not having any trust in Gary to settle the debt, nor appreciating his threat, we paid Eighty-four ourselves to ensure this tactic was not an option. After leaving Eighty-four lumber, Gary was contacted the debt was paid. We received a new receipt with a new amount much less than his original receipt, even with the supplies removed. Again, leading to a question of gouging the customer. We have reported this matter to the Better Business Bureau and had another roofer/carpenter, from Home advisor out to inspect the work completed and to make all corrections necessary. We feel our home may be a target of his or his crew for retaliation and are taking legal action to protect ourselves. Morale of this story, do in depth research and consumer beware.
