After a long hard year of covid related delays, I decided to move forward with my long awaited plans of renovating our family's 1970's ranch style home. We had gotten quotes prior to the whole Corona ordeal. One quotation we had gotten was from Christopher. He followed up with a call right when we decided to kick start our paused plans, He came back out, refreshed his quotation and we met at his office to finalize details. Once we decided to move forward he mapped out a schedule and started delivering materials the very next day. The entire process lasted 6 months. As someone who likes things done right away, this was some what frustrating. There was some rough patches during the project which included materials being back ordered, sub contractors changing and delaying the schedule. At the time it seemed like the worst thing imaginable! Looking back now it wasn't that bad. It was a very emotional experience for me as this is our forever home, where we are raising our 3 children. I wanted to build something that was going to last and stand the test of time. Not only in regards to quality but also in regards to design. Christopher walked us through all our options and helped us get the best possible outcome. Having just completed our long journey of a project, I could not be happier with the outcome. Its every thing I had in mind and more. Special thanks to Christopher, Antonio, Mike, Eli, Omar and all of the other crew members that made our project a success. Please do not hesitate to PM me directly for photos and a more in depth account of our experience. Thanks again MKB, till next time..........

We were really hoping we didn't have to take this route, but unfortunately this is what we have to resort to.
MKB is a company run by a dishonest contractor and if you're thinking about starting a new project with Monarch Kitchen & Bath, DON'T DO IT!
In the beginning, everything seemed so promising and you will be told what you want to hear about how fast and efficient this company is...how quickly the job will get done and how transparent they are. Contrary to all these positive reviews (most with no history and coming from accounts with one review, which happens to be for this company) this is as fraudulent as it comes.
Our project was started over a year ago and NOTHING has been completed. When it started, it moved fast but once other jobs came along, ours was put on the back burner. When trying to move forward, if it wasn't one thing, it was another. The job slowly died off and eventually stopped.
During the course of our project, project managers have been swapped, subcontractors have stopped working on our job site (some have been left unpaid) and business names have been changed. We'd even been threatened with a lien on our home at one point.
We started with MKB, but have come to find other names such as Maxwell's and Hutchinson Construction. During our project, it operated as MKB, Monarch Kustom Build and Monarch Kitchen & Bath.
Up until now, Christopher Hutchinson has scheduled several appointments with LA county for inspection and has only shown up to ONE appointment. Kevin (the current project manager) was here once, but because work was not properly done and was started without proper permits, all inspections failed. Up until now, there has been no resolution--Chris has been irresponsible, unprepared, and unprofessional by FAILING to appear each and every inspection appointment thereafter. No one shows from MKB.
As far as contact, Chris will dodge your calls, texts, questions--and when he decides to answer, he will lie compulsively--transparency does not exist.
Honestly, we're fed up with the lying and constant evading from someone we are supposed to be conducting business with.I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere for someone to start and actually complete your project because MKB is not that place you want to go. Do yourself a favor and do not give this fraud your time or hard earned money, you will regret it. We failed to do our research and regret it immensely as our home is now in an uninhabitable state and has been for almost a year.
If anyone would like to see our home, feel free to DM me via Yelp! as we would be more than happy to show you the incomplete mess we’ve been left with.

MKB replaced our roof, damaged drywall in our living and resurfaced our cabinets. They installed a new sink and faucet, backsplash and quartz countertops. Our outdated 30 year old kitchen was transformed into a modern and gorgeous kitchen. The drywall in our living was replaced. Our living room was painted and looks better than it did before. We are pleased to have a much needed new roof. Everyone who worked in our home wore a mask and practiced social distancing. We highly recommend MKB to our friends and family.

We used MKB to freshen up our 100 year old home. From beginning to end, they were professional, attentive, punctual, and their work was beautiful. Our questions or concerns were addressed in a timely manner and nothing we asked them to do seemed to be a problem. We highly recommend them and their staff!

I had a great experience using MKB. Michael and his crew were professional and on time. My bathroom turned out even better than I had hoped. We will definitely use MKB in the near future.

Our company's name is EP Global, Inc, located in Santa Ana, CA. May 1, 2020 Jonathan Arid gave us a bad check to purchased our waterproof flooring. The bad check amount is 2100.00. We never recovered the money. He does not answer our phone call or email. We are in the process bring him to the court. He cheats whatever he can, be careful to do business with him.

Move worked with Chris on multiple projects and have had many successes with him and his company. I have nothing but good feedback on and his process.
