The lawn-mowing crew from Monster Paving of Ambler (formerly Monster Landscaping, formerly Dallas Brothers Landscaping) broke my gate this summer, TWICE -- the second time only 4 days after I'd had it fixed the first time. The guy on the riding mower repeatedly crashed into the gate, severing the bottom hinge, while trying to squeeze the mower through the gate. The second damage episode occurred AFTER I'd fired them. The crew came back three times after I'd fired them, twice while I was at work and unable to stop them. Company owner Josh Dallas flatly refuses to pay for the repairs. He said he wants to fix the fence himself, but I don't trust him to do the job. He's already proven how unreliable he is and how horrible a businessman he is. Josh takes forever to answer e-mails and phone messages – if he ever does answer.
When I asked why his crew kept coming back after I'd fired his company, Josh said he'd told them to stop coming to my house, but they didn't because they are stupid and because "they're Mexicans." I spoke to the crew foreman, Fernando, who admitted breaking the gate and said Josh never told them to stop coming to my house. Josh told me he would file an insurance claim for the first episode and assured me his insurance would pay for it. That was July 12. I’m not holding my breath. He also told me that to recoup my losses, I’d have to take him to small claims court and that he would simply “just keep filing for continuances.” Save yourself the aggravation; DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!
