    AC unit

    I hate writing bad reviews, but this was unfortunately necessary- and even now I am giving one more star than I think I should.
    I moved into my apartment last fall so I never even tested my AC unit, but come this spring as it got hotter I tried to turn it on and... nothing. I spoke to my landlord in March about getting it checked out because he had told me the unit would work, and I figured the sooner the better. I called his preferred HVAC company that he gave me (Mount Mechanical) and my first impression was far better than any other moving forward. The receptionist was so friendly and cooperative and nice. We set an appointment to have someone come by and check out my AC unit the next week.
    That day comes.... and the hours go by and the guy still hasn't arrived. Finally I get a call while I'm at work that he not only came & went, but he didn't even check out my AC unit. Instead, and for no reason apparent to me, he decided to look at my baseboard and thermostat and that was it. That was NOT what I had made the appointment for so when I asked "What about the AC unit?" he seemed utterly puzzled.... I don't know if it was miscommunication or just incompetence but he then said he could come back at 4, when I'm off work, and take a look at the AC unit. Fine.
    6:30PM rolls around and still no call, no show. I'm waiting around for hours, and finally he calls and he's on his way. He's in my apartment for about 10 minutes, uses my tape measure to take a few measurements, declares the unit is beyond repair and that he will contact my landlord about ordering a new one.
    Flash forward a month. I never received a call saying they were ordering a unit, if/when they would install it, etc. I call the office and leave a voicemail as well as informed my landlord who promises to contact them too.
    Flash forward ANOTHER month. Still no call, no news about the unit being ordered, nothing. I contact my landlord again, he says the unit has been ordered and should be in within the week.
    Flash forward two more weeks. Nothing.
    I can't say how utterly disappointed and disgusted at the follow through and customer service Mount Mechanical provides. I will very likely go all summer without AC.
