I contracted with James Nabors DBA Mountain Springs Construction in 2015 to remodel my home at 6718 N Delerue Dr, Coeur D Alene, ID. He did not complete the work, and the partial work he began I had to get someone else to complete. He was very friendly and personable aka a con man. He has a great way of explaining all the trouble he causes, blame shifting onto the homeowner or his family, or his five ex-wives or the weather etc, etc. He can certainly weave a story or two. I have never been so disappointed in trusting and paying someone for work who intended to scam me from the start. There are good people out there to work with....he is not one of them! I got his contact information originally from HomeAdvisor.com who I wrote a scathing review to them about him, and their service since they are suppose vet their contacts.

I paid for a project last summer and after 10 months of stalling, excuses and many many lies, James Nabors admitted that he spent my money on other things and basically said there is not a thing I can do about it because if I sue him he will just file for bankruptcy. During this lengthy process I have discovered that I am not the only one he has done this to.

After a flood in our home we hired a contractor who ended up being a fraud. While looking for a new contractor, James Nabors was referred to us by another contractor who had too many jobs going to take on one as large as ours. He was very nice and seemed to really care about our situation. He told us about his troubled past and how he changed his life around. He told us about his love for god. So we ended up hiring him. WORST MISTAKE EVER!!! He is a scam artist. He says all the right things to gain your trust. He never finished our house. He just stopped showing up. He also kept all of our money. The work he did do was horrible and fell apart almost immediately. Do not believe a word this guy says. He has many lawsuits pending against him for doing the same thing to many others. On other sites he has written reviews as if he were the customer. He claims the other “bad” reviews are scams or false reviews and gives himself 5 stars, saying “I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family”
