  Replace old casement windows

  I contacted Sierra Pacific Windows after Pella failed to provide me a quote on replacement windows.

  Ron Carrigan contacted me right away and I was locked in by the great response and service to get the windows from Sierra Pacific.

  My house is 90 years old, built in a Santa Fe ranch style with thick exterior walls. The original casement windows were in need of glazing or replacement. Replacement was the energy and cost efficient answer. Every window in my house was different in size. Ron and his installer were very careful in getting the correct size for each window and working with use to leave the widest possible interior sill which is so important to the interior character of the house.

  The windows arrived in great shape and installation took about four days for 10 windows. The installation crew did a great job of making sure the alignment was perfect and the windows were completely sealed and secured with the existing wall structure. Removing the old windows is a bit messy but the installers did a great job of controlling the mess and minimizing the impact on the interior.

  After installation, we noticed a reduction in the heat allowed to come through the windows. We were in a period of 105 to 110 degree days and keep the interior at 82 degrees during the day to reduce electricity consumption. The windows were cool to the touch and the air conditioner typically did not come on until late in the afternoon. I expect to see a significant savings in my monthly electricity bill.

  I could not be happier with my interactions with Ron to get exactly the windows we wanted and to significantly improve the street appeal of our home. The quality of the Urban Casement wood-clad windows is excellent. We had a could of minor service requirements, i.e., a few handles and screens not shipped with the windows, but the service to correct the problems was quick and professional.

  I have a few more doors to replace and I will go back to Ron and his installers to finish the upgrade to our home.
