In the fall of 2020, we received a bid from Mr. Furnace for heating/ac and installation. I called to let him know we were accepting his bid. I told him that we would send $3000 to cover the initial furnace and setting of the furnace with money left over to go towards the ductwork we needed.
We asked Jay early this spring to get the ductwork ordered. We didn’t hear from him. I have called at least 4 times, my husband stopped in and left a business card, multiple emails, etc.
Now all of a sudden (I have voice mails) that he will not complete the work and the $3000 happens to be exactly what we owe him. I reminded him that it was me who arrived at the dollar amount we would send, not him.
We asked him for a breakdown of charges and payments, he sent back the invoice with the AC crossed off and $3000 written in. He has our money, hasn’t completed the agreed upon work. He did not answer my last email either.
We are no longer interested in doing any business with Mr Furnace, but believe we are owed some reimbursement.

I give a 5 STAR rating to Mr. Furnace of Cohasset, MN! They recently (March 2025) repaired my water heater and replaced my furnace with a Lennox. Dan, THE NEW OWNER, and Jake and Jeremy (his employees) were exemplary, prompt, and did first class work in the time I needed it done. They all were conscientious, clean, communicative and extremely personable. It was actually enjoyable having them in my home. I know they are there for me when I need them in the future and I do not hesitate to give them 5 stars and a wonderful referral.
