Less than 2 years ago we spent $8000 to have MRP bring our house up to city code.
Out of the blue my wife's hair dryer starts tripping a breaker in the brand new service panel. We call and Mike comes out but can't find anything wrong, so he tells us to get a lower wattage hair dryer (specifically 1500 watts) which we do. The very next day we have the same issue. We call again but he has no solution. Five minutes later he calls again and tries to fruitlessly explain that the 1500 watt dryer he told us to buy might also trip the breaker. Now I'm begging him for options. Mind you we've been in this house for 34 years and this was never an issue. Finally, he suggests putting the bathroom on a separate circuit. I tell him fine, whatever it takes. The next morning his wife (who I now know is the real boss, unhinged as she is) calls to inform us that we aren't a 'good fit' as their customers and that we should hire someone else and that my wife should dry her hair in another room in the house! DO NOT expect anything more than an 'It's not my problem anymore' attitude once they've gotten their payment and surely don't hire them for anything more complicated than changing an outlet.
