I would not recommend MSF Mechanical based on my experience.
This has been an ongoing issue for months on our new construction home, which was built in 2025. The original problem was that none of the HVAC vents were properly sealed during installation. As a result, condensation built up inside the ceiling and caused water damage to our drywall. It even led to black mold developing in both our bedroom closet and hallway closet, which the builder ultimately had to replace.
When MSF Mechanical came back to fix the issue, they sealed the vents with a black mastic sealant but apparently did not allow it to cure properly. The sealant began dripping from multiple vents throughout the house onto our carpet, tile, and clothing. Some of our clothes were permanently ruined because the sealant would not come out.
Since then, we've been rescheduled multiple times. A technician inspected the system and told us the vent boxes would need to be replaced and properly sealed because the previous repair was not done correctly. We were told someone would contact us to schedule the work, but appointments continue to be delayed and rescheduled, and it's extremely difficult to get anyone available to actually resolve the problem.
The odor from the leaking sealant has been overwhelming. I've been experiencing frequent headaches and migraines, and I'm especially concerned because we have a toddler living in the home. This situation has been ongoing since our initial reports in December 2025, and now, in August 2026, it still has not been properly resolved.
Mistakes can happen, but what has been most disappointing is the repeated delays, lack of timely follow-through, and the fact that we are still dealing with the consequences of an installation that should have been done correctly from the beginning.
