We worked with Shon Myrick through ICI Homes when we built our new home. Our first experience with Shon was not awesome but he seemed to get better the next time we met. We should have listened to our guts.
The delays on the pool were very long and the options available to us were never fully discussed. We would have asked, for instance, to separate the pool and the spa so we could heat both simultaneously and we would have chosen to do a number of other things but weren't informed they we options.
In the end, our travertine is of very poor quality. They filled in the numerous holes in it with some kind of mud that washed out after 6 months, leaving us with an $80,000 pool and lanai that looks like it was a bargain-basement type of installation. The travertine around the deck jets and the raised spa is caving in and ICI was unable to get Myrick to respond so they have now had to get a different contractor to correct the issues.
We have been yelled at for not being there to open the door for an inspector (we work, sorry), we noted issues that have not been corrected, we have been treated like second-class customers from the beginning. We wish we had waited and used someone else with some sense of customer care.
