I really did not want to write a negative review. I truly didn't. But here is my experience. I live in a subdivision, and my neighbors were kind enough to allow us to use their back yards. I was told that the guy hauling the dirt to the truck would hug the fence. Well, he didn't. He went straight down the middle of both of my neighbors' yards. One of the neighbors had brand new sod that was put down a month or two before that was completely ruined. Before that happened, we had taken 7' of the fence down as we were told. It was enough room, but apparently, the guy wanted more room. We have on camera him using his bulldozer, ramming it into the fence to get a big piece of the fence down. Which broke it. So, we had to replace that section of the fence. The next problem was the pump. The people who did the pipes didn't put them in the right spot. Then, the people who set up the pump equipment set it up completely backward. The filter head is facing the shed, so I have to read everything upside down. I can not read the pressure gauge at all since it too is facing the shed. I hate the plaster. It stains severely badly. One of the guys got mud in the pool and left it there. When I tried to clean it up, it left a big stain right in front of the steps. There are a few spots that are stained, and my pool is only 3 months old. The decking does not have a 100% straight edge. I am not trying to be picky. I just feel like we are the ones paying a fortune for a pool, so it should be done right. My biggest issue is how bad the customer service was. I have previously read great reviews about him, but I did not have that great experience. From the very beginning, I was told he would start in 6 to 8 weeks. He never contacted me to let me know it would be longer. I kept texting him. Sometimes, he would text back, but most of the time, he didn't. This went on for months. It was June 6, when I was first told 6 to 8 weeks. They didn't start on it until Oct 11. It was completed in December. In January, he told me someone would come fix the guage. It is now March 28. And it is still not fixed. He kept telling me that he would come the following week. It has now been 8 or 9 weeks. So to sum it all up, if I could do it all over, I would not have signed the contract with Mystic Pools. I would have gone somewhere else.
For someone looking to get a pool installed, save yourself a ton of money by not using a pool company contractor. These pool companies all use one or two other companies to do the work. So cut out the middle man, which will cut the cost of the pool tremendously, maybe even in half.
