We had hired him for a project to reconstruct after a sewer backup. He told me it would be roughly 2 weeks of actual work. There was a delay on the tile delivery and my family was sick for one week. Besides that every delay was his, and it took several months to not even finish the job. When he finally came out to install the vanity/toilet, the vanity leaked in 3 places, when there are only 4 connections in it. The toilet wobbled, and when I called to ask him about it he didn't answer. Said he'd be there the next day, didn't show, said he'd be there the day after, didn't show. I called and texted no response until he said he was going to be by monday and I just said forget it, I'll fnish it myself. Oh, and tried to double charge me for services he performed with the toilet/vanity after I had already paid (lesson learned there). They installed a cracked tile and just grouted over the crack but I didn't notice it at the time and it was against a wall so I just left it. There are places I can hear no compound under the tile. Constantly talked a good game, spoke poorly of other "so called contractors" he called them, and ultimately was the worst part of the whole ordeal with my house flooding with sewage. Do with that what you will.
Wouldn't allow us to critique work thorughout. When I asked questions about the process, even just out of curiousity he told me I was hassling them and we'd review it all at the end. I have no doubt had we made it that far, he would have told us we were being petty and not been willing to fix it. Promised high, delivered low. I think you get the picture.

As a local lender, I always try to use small family owned business whenever I have work done to my home. Many of you referred Joe Scroggin, owner of MZ Plumbing Services, LLC and without even looking up if his price was fair, I went with him. PLEASE BEWARE, per Kathy DiMattina-scroggin, they are licensed and insured, but have refused to give me any insurance information. Long story short, I have over $4000 in damages and mold mitigation ect from a poor shower valve install. AND thank you April Marie for getting me the help I needed with a plumbing fix on the fourth of july so we could have running water. I made joe an easy offer. $1500 to settle and ill take care of the rest. I understand things happen! He agreed. Then ghosted last friday when he said a check would be brought by. After my wife and I both called and texted, I finally called from my office and he answered, and now felt it wasn't his responsibility, and would call me back... ghosted again! Ok, save us both some headache and give me your insurance information. He responded to take him to small claims court... what??? take 4k to small claims vs a very reasonable settlement from me for 1500 or let insurance handle? Im sorry my calls and texts may inconvenience you MZ Plumbing Services, LLC, but no water, damages to my ceiling, drywall carpet ect has been MUCH more of an incovenience to my family and household. If anyone has his insurance information, i would be extremely grateful! Hopefully as he continues to grow his business, he will treat his clients with more respect than a buy here pay here lot. Yes, i should have asked for it and looked at reviews before hand, that was my mistake. But treating your clients right is why i have over 300 reviews at 4.9.. while you have one star, and took client complaint calls while doing work on my home.
