Dan Nash
Owner
First, we would do not recommend hiring Nash Landscaping. We did our research seeing other completed jobs by their crew. On the surface, the work looked acceptable. We got an estimate and proceeded to hire in May. Dan stated they would start early June. June 19th came, finally work started and the job was to last 3 weeks. On a good day, they only worked 6 hours and the first week they only worked 3 days total. After that first week we should have fired them, as was our gut feeling. A call to Dan and he promised they would be on tract the next week, spoken like of a true salesman. He said they would level, square, plumb and install a 3’ x 50’ retaining wall and roughly a 12’ x 11’ paver patio in our backyard. He promised drainage way from the house, an equal height from patio to steps, to build a secure foundation, and using Lampus block and pavers. He over promised and gravely under delivered. The project took 5.5 weeks to complete. The wrong pavers were used, choosing to put down a lesser quality paver, the retaining wall is not plumb in relation to our house, the drainage runs to our house foundation, the step height from our sidewalk to the pavers was 2” taller plan promised. He asked for additional payments half way through the project and a final payment was only required at the end. We asked for daily updates before further steps were taken, as we felt the need to question his work due to lack of attention to detail and not listening to direction. Dan promised to replace or fix any part of damaged landscape when done. He whined about fixing our front retaining wall that his crew pulled out of place, from harvesting our shrubs to complete the job. On payment day, he was looking in our windows, our mailbox, getting advisement from neighbors, that know little about the job or us. All caught on camera. He tried to get away installing the wrong paver until we called him out and had him pay us for the cost of them. Finally, we had to pay another contractor to rip up his pavers and install the right ones, as it was now August. He never refunded us the correct amount. We had to babysit him and his crew the duration of the job. His lack of skill and lack of tools taught us to be weary of contractors and the next one will be definitely bonded. If you want nickel and dimed and lied to, this is what you will find with Nash Landscaping.
