    Vinyl flooring in stairs

We hired Native Interiors to install vinyl flooring for our stairs. I wrote them a check for half on the total cost as a deposit.
On the day of installation, the work finished at approximately 6:30pm. It was already dark outside and our lighting in our living room is not very good. The next morning, I began sweeping the stairs and noticed that almost every nail was raised and not flush with the laminate flooring. Upon further inspection, I found the laminate they used for the landing was obviously uneven and the facia board they used to go across the facia had a line in it. They used 2 pieces of wood instead of one continuous piece. The top 2 steps were so warped, you can easily see it as you walk up the stairs.
On the day of installation, one of the workers (Sergio) showed me 2 BOTTOM steps were warped and explained to me that they would need to charge me extra to make them even. I agree and wrote an additional check to the company for the additional amount.

I immediately contacted the company to advise them of my findings and I was told via text, that "it is construction work and it won't be perfect". Upon hearing that, I had a feeling this wasn't going to be easy.
I contacted my bank and put a stop payment on the check I wrote for the 2nd half of the payment. I contacted the company and notified them that I had done this and I stated I would be happy to issue them a new check for the remaining balance, once the job is completed. I was told to give them 2 days and they would be out to fix the repairs. I had a prior appointment in Prescott when they arrived the very next day, although, my wife was home to greet them.
I was contacted by the project manager Taylor, who told me he had spoken with Sergio and Sergio told him that he notified me about the top 2 steps being uneven and that he told me several were uneven. I explained to Taylor that, that never happened. I told him that I was only shown the 2 bottom steps. I said to Taylor, why would I be willing to pay extra to have 2 steps repaired due to them being warped, but not 4? Had I been shown the other 2 steps, I would've had all 4 done at the same time. Taylor told me, he's known Sergio for 3 years and he believed Sergio over me, because Taylor didn't know me at all. He said I was a stranger. Therefore, Taylor quoted me $386 to fix the top 2 stairs. He said he would need to order the addition flooring and the additional nose caps (lip of the step), plus the actual wood that goes under the vinyl flooring that needed to be replaced in the first place, just like they did on the bottom 2 steps. I told Taylor that I was willing to pay the additional $80 for the materials and labor-the same additional price I paid for the bottom 2 steps. I explained that I shouldn't have to pay for the additional vinyl flooring or nose caps, as they wouldn't need replacing had Sergio told me about them before they started the job.
Taylor refused and got completely tunnel visioned on me paying the remaining balance, stating "we need final payment before we do anything". I again explained I would pay it and I would pay the additional $80 and no more once the repairs are completed.
Taylor then said he was going to PUT A LIEN AGAINST MY HOUSE.
We obviously couldn't come to an agreement and after doing a little research (which I should've done initially-we live and learn), I found that the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU has Native Interiors, listed as an F rating.
So many of the reviews I've read have similar issues. Most stated Native did not live up to their obligations. In every complaint I read, the customers had paid in full and no longer had recourse, unless they wanted to file a lawsuit.
I put a stop payment on the final payment, which is why I believe they followed up with me so quickly. Other reviews claim Native took week's to respond, or just didn't respond at all. Native Interiors has only been in business for 3 years and has already obtained a F rating with the BBB. I obviously wouldn't recommend Native Interiors. Buyer beware.

Flooring 7 rooms and the hallway

The floors look great but did not get the right transitions and there have been multiple delays. Started project April 29th paid over 50% of the project at the time, today is September 10th hopefully will be done today, they are working on it as I type. They were supposed to be done on May 1st and if needed May 3rd. I kept calling and texting multiple people to get it done before our youngest child's graduation party which was May 22nd. Two men came up demanding money otherwise they wouldn't finish the job on August 3rd and I gave them additional money so 90% of the project was covered, then they said they would be back up within a week. Again it is the 10th of September (over 5 weeks from the August 3rd extortion) and they are just finishing them but they had to get the last 10% before they would. No discount, no compensation at all, we had people over for a graduation in May, 4th of July, and labor day with blue painters tape on the floor, they did not accept any of the fault. Not a good experience what so ever from a customer service standpoint. I am in sales, when something goes wrong I need to make it right with the customer and I dont feel like that happened at all. Then they tell me to call them to see what they could have done better, I leave a message and they dont call me back.

    Flooring
    $11,000

$11,000 and 2 months later and my floor is still not right! The blame it on each other and then manufacturer then the sales person. Bottom line my $11,000 floor still has blue tape holding it together in EVERY ROOM!

    Luxury Vinyl Flooring
    $10,000

Native Interiors has done amazing work for my home and also my short term rental home. They were professional, courteous and answered all my questions promptly. They were able to provide exceptional services while not charging over my budget, and left everything clean and were meticulous with their work.

    New floors
    $8,000

Today the lady from Native Interiors went to my house to do a quote. I advised them that I have tenants in my home and I won’t be getting new floors until they move out. She asked me my budget and the color I was looking for. I explained to her that I am not sure of my budget but I am looking for black hard wood which I told them previously. She asked me when I wanted it and I told her I would want it completed in January. She got upset and said I came all this way for this when I could have done this over the phone “! Then said we don’t even have those floors. I asked her what type of customer service is she giving and how is it ok for her to be so rude to a potential customer. Then she hung up in my face. Native Interiors will never receive service from me. I can’t believe she was upset that she had to go to my home to give me a quote for a potential $5-10,000 service. Such a shame that people have no care for customer service anymore.
