Absolutely! Stay AWAY from Jim Neer from Neer's Plumbing and Pumps in Ferndale, WA. That is who Rouse hired to install my $19,000 in-floor radiant heat system - which is hugely deficient.

When I found that only two spots in the living room/kitchen/dining room floor was heated, I had the floors analyze with an infrared gun (I had one because we had to call a mould specialist to come in and take care of the black mould we found in the lower bedroom because the builders did not dry the house out when closing it up in winter) and it was recommended by the mould specialist that I have a heating specialist look at why the floors weren't heating. So I called Andgar, Janes in-floor Radiant Heating and Barron Heating and Plumbing, and they all found exactly the same deficiencies with the brand new heating system. The repairs are estimated at anywhere from $5000 for a 'quick fix' to $12,000 to fix properly! I was told by another contractor that Jim Neer had never installed in-floor radiant heat before - evidently not!

The builders also evidently are telling people that I didn't pay the bills, but they took the money up front and left me with virtually nothing for finishes. They trumped up 'work change orders' and cut corners like you wouldn't believe. Also, I added up per square foot what I paid them for the house and it was above average for the area.
