Shawn Russell is the worst contractor that you would ever hire for your patio or balcony project, I paid him almost $4000 for my balcony that it did not last 1 year!! his promise was NO leaks! he use the best material in the market that It would last at least 25 years! and of course it did not last 1 year, when I called him to have him to redo the work he came out with a bunch of excuses.....at the end of the day he is not answering my phone calls nor text messages anymore, so if you have a big project at home be aware of this crook and dishonest contractor... you will get nothing but headaches.

I had a very similar experience to what the other review here states. New Crete resurfaced my driveway and in less than a year it started to fall apart and flake off. Shawn gave me excuse after excuse on why they could not come fix it. Material shortage, weather delays, short handed with staff, he was out hunting, etc. We went back and forth for 2 years. The entire time he said the work was covered by a 25 year warranty. As soon as I started to put additional pressure on him to get it fixed I was told it was NOT covered by a warranty due to an annual 'sealing' that was not done and any repairs would be an additional cost to me. When I asked about the 25 year warranty (via text message), his response was 'LOL, I never said that'. There was ZERO communication about any annual maintenance nor was that provided in the documentation provided to me. I simply got a receipt. When I asked to see the annual maintenance documentation and the manufacturer information his response was 'Feel free to sue me'. I believe the idea of an annual sealing is another tactic he uses to get out of the work.
Shawn also told me he could not come out until I had a permit from the city to resurface my driveway. So, I called the city and explained what I needed. The city inspector told me 'It sounds like this guy is trying to get out of the work. You don't need a permit for this. It has never been a city requirement'. I figured that would be the case since the original work didn't need a permit and this was another attempt by Shawn to get out of doing the repair work he promised. He is an absolute crook and a liar. How he has been in business for 25 years is beyond me. The total cost of work was $5000.
