Founded in 2007 by Scot Sandstrom, New Pointe Communities Inc. operates from the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego. The firm initially focused on land development, but shifted its direction after the Witch Creek fires in October 2007, purchasing lots from fire survivors and rebuilding homes in six neighborhoods across San Diego County. Since then, New Pointe Communities has continued to develop residential properties, investing significantly in the Rancho Bernardo community and supporting thousands of construction jobs throughout the region. The company’s residential development projects span several San Diego County communities, including Poway, Escondido, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Oceanside, Vista, Santee, Solana Beach, Lemon Grove, Mt. Helix, and Carlsbad. New Pointe Communities specializes in new home construction and neighborhood redevelopment, led by founder and principal Scot Sandstrom.
