  Remodel of rooftop

  Extremely Dissatisfied with New York Roofscapes INC- DO NOT HIRE

  My husband and I had the unfortunate experience of hiring New York Roofscapes INC for a roof top project, and I must say that it was an absolute nightmare. We first engaged their service back in September 2021 and the project is still not complete - nearly 2 years later!!! I wouldn't wish this company's services on my worst enemy. Here are the reasons why I am extremely dissatisfied:

  1. Poor Communication: David displayed a complete lack of professionalism when it came to communication. He continually ignored phone calls, messages and emails. He is a misogynist, who has no respect for women. After many failed attempts my husband and I consulted with David’s wife Tamara. Initially she was responsive but eventually was as equally as bad as David. They were consistently unresponsive to our calls and emails, leaving us in the dark about important project details and updates. It felt like pulling teeth trying to get any information from them.

  2. Unreliable and Inconsistent Workmanship: The quality of the work performed by New York Roofscapes INC was nothing short of abysmal. The glass was measured incorrectly and is unsafe as the glass is too short and not secured properly, the flooring is uneven, the pergola and outdoor kitchen area are riddled with issues, including leaks, exposed electrically wires and shoddy installation. It was clear that they had taken shortcuts and had a complete disregard for quality craftsmanship. We have been left with a rooftop that requires immediate repairs, costing even more money.

  3. We paid David and Tamara for them to purchase new doors, TV’s, grill an expensive outdoor couch from reputable company as they apparently have a warehouse to store these goods until the rooftop was completed. LIES!!!They kept promising to deliver these goods. NEVER HAPPENED! I finally called the furniture company to be told that the order had never been placed. I called Tamara to discuss this and after a week of lying to me that the order had been placed she finally admitted that it hadn’t, and that they had spent the money for PERSONAL USE!!! We have not received any of the goods we paid for!!

  4. Missed Deadlines: New York Roofscapes INC not only failed to meet the initial project deadline, but they also consistently missed subsequent deadlines they set themselves. This caused significant delays and inconveniences for my husband and I. Their inability to adhere to their own schedule demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for their clients' time.

  5. Lack of Accountability: Despite the glaring issues with their work, NEW York Roofscapes INC showed no willingness to take responsibility for their mistakes. When we brought up our concerns and requested repairs, they were dismissive and uncooperative. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them.

  Based on our experience, I strongly advise against hiring NEW York Roofscapes INC for any roofing project. Their lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and disregard for customer satisfaction were extremely disappointing. Save yourself the frustration, headaches, and financial loss by seeking a reputable and reliable roofing company elsewhere.

  David and tamara fixed our roof issues and were very accommodating. We are very pleased. I would definitely recommend them.

  DO NOT HIRE!!!
  If there were negative starts I would use them!
  David is an absolute crook and his work is junk.
  We hired New York Roofscapes, Inc. to build a deck on the roof of our building. He seemed like a nice guy and he showed us a few jobs that he had done and they looked good. But I should have taken online reviews more seriously before hiring him.
  He quoted us a reasonable price, but in the middle of the job he jacked up the cost and forced us to pay or he would leave the roofs half done. Every time it came to payments he would call 100 times yelling at you and demand payment within hours (we would always check the progress and pay within 4 days, but that was too slow for him).
  Once the decks were "complete", he demanded payment within hours. Ever since the final payment he has gone silent. He doesn't return phone calls or emails. We have a one year service agreement, which he has yet to uphold.
  The decks haven't even lasted 4 months. The wood is cheap and has already started to splinter, the plants look like trash, the paint job is sloppy (he claimed he would touch up paint before the decks open for the summer, but has never responded to requests). We had to contact with an electrician and plumber ourselves in order to get the deck in working conditions for the summer. All of which is supposed to be covered in the service agreements, but they have yet to hold up to these agreements.
  All around an awful experience and a waste of a lot of money.

  Renovate our roof

  $80,000

  Their deck installation caused a leak in my roof which they refused to adequately address. They were completely uncooperative in helping to resolve the issue and consistently did not show up for appointments to manage the foliage they were obligated under contract to do so. I wouldn't use them again in a million years.

  Tried to hire to build 3 roof decks

  NOT a legit business. Be VERY careful

  We hired David Salerno to design and build three decks. We paid his company $1800 for an structural engineering report.
  NEVER got anything from him. Had to chase him for 3 months to get our money back

  David Salerno seems to have a habit of taking off with people's money and not completing the work. He came by in March to measure the roof. We tried for two months to contact him to find out what was going on, when was the engineer coming by to make the report, when would he be speaking to each of the three top floor owners to discuss designs.
  Finally, nearly 10 weeks later, he delivered his "design". The roof measurements were all wrong, he "designed" one large deck covering the whole roof with dividing walls (not what we said we wanted).
  NO engineering report of any kind. We we tried to contact him to find out what was going on with the report, to express that this was not what we wanted, he became abusive and very erratic in his behavior.
  We made two appointments for him to come by and remeasure the roof and meet with each owner. He never showed up and never returned any e-mails or phone calls. At this point it became clear this was a scam.
  After showing up at his office, we finally got our money back.
  STAY AWAY. This is not a legit business.
