I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience involving NextEra construction company, contractor Fernando and owner Brenda. Unfortunately, my experience was filled with frustration and a lack of communication, leading to overwhelming stress and financial burden.
From the outset, there was minimal communication from my real estate agent throughout the building process. I had to reach out multiple times for assistance, but each time, I was told that they would get back to me, yet I never received a follow-up. This lack of support during such a significant investment was disappointing and unacceptable.
The issues with the construction company were numerous and severe. The construction took over a year, with workers leaving for months at a time, significantly delaying the process. Shortly after the water was connected, we experienced a leak that should have been addressed immediately. Additionally, a painter broke the floor tiles while working, compounding the issues.
Every time someone was sent to work on the home, there were new holes in the Sheetrock, indicating poor craftsmanship and oversight. Communication with the contractor was minimal at best; they often did not respond to my messages, which left me feeling powerless and frustrated.
Financially, I incurred additional costs as I had to pay for several appraisals due to the work not being completed on time. Moreover, I ended up paying interest on a construction loan for months past the maturity date - over six months - because of the delays.
mMy experience with NextEra construction company was far from satisfactory. I would not recommend them based on my experience, as the lack of communication, prolonged timelines, and financial burdens have made the home-buying experience negative. My keys where left by the painter at the house. They left the home with broken tiles and patches of paint on the wall.
