What a grave disappointment! I had some new Pella doors being installed (by Pella, not Nighthawk) and they noted some damage to my floor that needed to be replaced before they could finish the install. Christian at Nighthawk gave me a flat fee quote to fix the floor (again - ONLY THE FLOOR - the doors were already removed when he started), stating that he can't tell how far back the damage goes without removing the current floor tile. And since he couldn't see, he would "do me a favor" and give me a flat rate of $2000 no matter how bad the damage. Christian sent a worker during the time he said he would start, but that worker basically sat in my backyard doing nothing for three hours (I even gave him a bagel so he would have something to do) before he started looking at the floor. Once he started, it appeared the damage was VERY minimal. Since the replacement vinyl flooring obviously didn't match the tile, Christian promised to make it look intentional. Well, the guy who was occupying my patio table all morning only replaced four of the tiles (so only a portion in front of one of the double doors, which was all that was actually damaged) - which looked NOT AT ALL intentional. Christian promised to come back the next morning to make it look natural - which he did, but he didn't secure the vinyl boards to the subfloor, so they bounce and crack every time we walk on them. I just had my house appraised for a refinance and the work this company did ACTUALLY DECREASED THE VALUE OF MY HOME - the appraisal noted this piece of floor as unfinished and in need of repair!! And the worst part? Even though this job was so small, Christian had the audacity to still charge me $2000 anyway!!!! For $2000, I should have a solid floor in the space of eight tiles made of marble as opposed to cheap interlocking vinyl that isn't properly interlocked. AND the floor should be secured to the subfloor. AND there should be trim where it was removed (you read that right - HE DIDN'T EVEN REPLACE ALL OF THE TRIM with that exorbitant amount of money!!!!!). I could have done this work better by doing it by myself with a YouTube video (and the only table I have ever built is a data table). Please be warned!!! This guy is not honest and his work is very amateur. He basically robbed me, not only of my money, but of a fair appraisal. Don't let this happen to you!
