  He came to my house as a referral for my wood floors gave me his contract and cost. And demanded 4700 dollar retainer. I said I would pay him when the work would start no good.
  Being a referral I uncomfortably gave him a check he ran straight to the bank and cashed it. I canceled next day via Email. Said no I’m keeping the money I said for what the insurance company wants me to do the job. I said that isn’t true and return my money. Good luck. But he continues to victimize people

  Install tile in two bathrooms

  Nixon quoted me a good price and explained away the negative reviews saying they were only a fraction of him customers. I trusted him at his word each was a big mistake. Halfway through the project he ghosted me forcing me to hire another company to finish. He talks a good game but please don’t make the same mistake I did. Do not give this con man a dime!

  Replace front door with impact glass door

  Terrible experience. Back in August 2020 I gave this Company (Nixon) a check for $4000 to replace my exterior front door. He took the money and never delivered the door. It has now been 9 months. He rejects my calls and does not respond to my text messages. Unprofessional!

  Remodel

  STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. BAD NEWS!!!
  We worked with Nixon on a few smaller projects, with some level of success. Slow and sloppy, but he seemed like a nice guy and seemed to come through in the end. Then we decided to use him for a large project. HUGE MISTAKE! Our final project was never started, although he was quick to take 30% down. He took the money and ran, never submitting paperwork to the City (Boca) for Permits, yet blaming the city for the delays. In March 2020 we paid him the first draw, for architect work. HORRIBLE architect. Back and forth numerous times, completely unusable end result. However, enough for permits. Then we paid him 30% in April 2020 (check cashed April 17, 2020). We followed up every few weeks for progress status. He said he was working with the city on the permits, and they were slow due to COVID. It sounded reasonable, but the months kept rolling by. In November 2020 I called the city and the Permit had been withdrawn by the city back in Sept due to the GC not submitting any of the required paperwork. We fired him immediately, and have been unable to get our money back. Initially he seemed willing to give us some back, even wrote us a check to 'hold' until the end of Dec. When I went to cash it, it was a bogus check. Made out for $4000, but written as Four dollars. The bank would not cash. We've still been trying to get some of our money back. He answers the phone sometimes and tells us to be patient. It's now Feb, almost a full year since the initial start!

  Repair hardwood flooring.

  Please, Please, save you hard earned
  $$ MONEY$$. Nixon Home Improvement business is poorly run by a smooth talking non professional. The repair he did on my hardwood floor looks worse now then it did before he started the job. He said he would return my money, but it is now a month later and no money and no return calls. Again please...save your
  $$ MONEY $$.

  Nixon Home Improvement is not a reputable company. I needed some kitchen remodeling. I gave him a down payment and then he never showed up to do the work. I am in the process of filing a claim against him. He has tons of complaints against him on the county court records website. Never returned my phone calls. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

  Buildout garage into room

  Beware, Nixon is a professional con man, these reviews are all paid for and fake. He scammed me out of thousands of dollars, he was supposed to build out a garage in our house. 6 months passed and he never responded to the permits, he never did anything. He ignored all my calls, all my texts and then finally after we threatened complaints and bad reviews, he refunded us a fraction of what we paid. Then put a lien on our property, our attorneys advised us Nixon is using multiple licenses that aren't his. There are endless complaints against him on the BBB website, we should have read them. I am in contact with MULTIPLE VICTIMS OF NIXON. He has stolen thousands and thousands in deposits from customers left hanging.

  Turns out Nixon took our money and never paid subcontractors. So the lien was actually from people he hired, he never paid, and they are coming after us! Beware! Check his Better Business Bureau complaints! We missed them!

  Complaint:
  Nixon Home Improvement Inc was hired, did a horrible job remodeling, damaged my home and did not refund me agreed upon money.
  I hired Nixon Home Improvement Inc to remove popcorn, remodel a bathroom and a bedroom. I moved out of my home so his crew can do the popcorn work. He was supposed to be done with the popcorn in 7 days, we attempted to move back in after day 9 and arrived to a house that was destroyed and a bathroom and bedroom that was only demolitioned. His crew was unprofessional, unskilled and always napping on my porch during lunch. When I began inspecting the work, they destroyed the 23 recessed lights that I spent over $4000 installing 2 weeks earlier, damaged my $2000 wall mounted TV, broke my bathroom vent stack, left clumps of plaster everywhere, spray painted the ceiling instead of using rollers and in the process spray painted half my walls, curtain rod holders and floors throughout the house. 

  I told Nixon Home Improvement Inc that I would rather he not finish the job. We went over the estimate and I had paid him $8000 and came to an agreement that he would return $1500 and I was not going to ask for the damages so I can hire someone else. He was supposed to pay me within a week and I never heard from him and he never returned calls or texts.

  Repair drywall and baseboards

  Jun 1 2015 paid Nixon Home Improvement $600 to replace drywall, baseboard and paint. Job is still not complete. Attempts to reach Nixon on 7/12, 7/13 & 7/27 went unanswered. Not only is the painting not complete. I do not have a final bill for my records.
