    I needed several repairs done to my home in Jersey City, NJ. I called several places only to not have them get back to me or come take a look at what I needed done and still no one got back to me. This went on for months. Finally a friend referred me to Norkia Home Improvements, he was here the next day and looked everything over and got back to me with a quote a few days later. The job was done within a few days, it was masonry work. What a fantastic job they did, better than I even expected. My girlfriend and I were so pleased that we also had them do 2 more jobs for us.a new kitchen counter and also a new back fence. Again...terrific jobs. I need a few more things done and I will call no one else. Very dependable and amazing work. I could not be more happy. And C is such a nice guy, honest and friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

    WORSE CONTRACTORS. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM.

    They do very shady business. Your cost on the proposal will not be your final cost. Thanks to a friend, I asked in writing a bunch of Questions and got their reply in writing before I signed their Proposal.

    After finishing the stand-up shower, they billed me for Leveled Walls & Installed Mold Resistance Sheetrock and Compound and wanted me to pay a part of the shower door. I went back to my Questions and Answers document and Signed Proposal that these are covered. They told me my door is a customized door and it'll cost $600. I had to do my own research and found doors for approx. $319 and emailed them to order the door from amamzon.com.

    They billed me again a lower price for the Levelling and door. This time they said that they have assigned $200 to the door and I'll have to pay the extra $119. This was not discussed before signing the proposal. Initially, they had also bought the wrong sized door.

    The bathtub was adjacent to the shower was also a part of the signed proposal. They bought the wrong tub then Ancil Millar texted me that the tub I'm seeking which is Porcelain Enamel cost approx $3000. Here again, I had to do my own research that this isn't the case and I informed him to check Home Depot or Lowes.

    I ended up gathering pictures and video proof that leveling the walls of the stand-up shower weren't done.

    In addition to the horror above, they damaged my shower exhaust fan because they cut the tiles in my stand-up shower bathroom and had my exhaust fan on. Which contractor cut tiles indoors and uses their client's bathroom fan as the form to get rid of the dust.

    I strongly request that the BBB investigate this. I have no idea how Norkia Home Improvements is still in business and how is it that Ancil Millar still has a Contractor's License.

    I would never recommend Norkia Home Improvements or Mr. Miller to anyone. I would like to warn everyone your nightmares will begin as soon as you sign up with Norkia Home Improvements.

    If you do wish to consider this contractor, I would highly recommend that you consult with your lawyer beforehand. Mr. Miller (owner of this company) is a con artist, extremely unprofessional, poor communicator and nothing is transparent.
