I would not recommend Norman Rolnick to anyone. He agreed to building a second floor addition on my home and walked off the job before it was completed. His workers would go days or sometimes weeks in between working. They showed up and left whenever they wanted. The foreman was the father of the crew so they did whatever they wanted. There was alot of damage done during the process. Norman makes excuses after excuses and doesn't stay to his word. They are the most unprofessional business I have ever seen! It has cost me approximately $40,000 more to finish my home then he originally quoted me. His workers did electrical work which are not licensed to do so. He is the plumbing inspector for North Adams and broke several laws.

We bought an older (90+ years) home about four months ago and as is the case with an older building, knew that repairs would be necessary.
Open vent pipes that were allowing sewage gases into the attic were among these problems. One of the contractors who'd been working on the house promised to take care of this but "forgot".
We hired a mold remediation company to sterilize the attic which had been collecting toxic gases, probably for decades. They suggested that Norman take a look. He found that there were actually three pipes that had not been properly vented to the outside.
He worked for two days to make the necessary corrections. We were so pleased that we invited him to submit a proposal for more work.
Even though a complication came up in the course of the project, Norman stuck to his initial estimate. We found him to be both efficient and easy to work with. We're amazed that the same person who is the Plumbing Inspector for two towns dropped everything to give us a hand.
We are grateful to Norman for stepping in to help us when others did not and would recommend him without reservation.
