North Atlanta Home Services billed my Amex card on 11/15/24 $1,100.00 for the installation of Christmas lights on my roof line and also 5 lighted wreaths on five windows. The installers advertise under the name of "Outdoor Lighting Perspectives." I was very happy with the service and installation that I received in 2022 and 2023 and the installation team was very professional and courteous and helpful. This year a different installation showed up and wreaths and lights have fallen off of the roof and windows on several occasions as well as the team having to come out on several occasions because they did not tuck the wires under the roof line when installing the wreaths. The install team came out and corrected the installation numerous times, while in the past, I have NEVER had a problem with the same lights and the same wreaths being installed by a different team with the same company.
On December 23rd, a wreath ell off the window and took down the lights on my roofline blocking my front door entrance. I called Outdoor Lighting Perspectives and got an answering service, and this morning I received a call and and a text message from the install manager Jason Butler, who told me that he was sorry that no one could come out to fix the installation because it was the day before Christmas and his team was not available. I told him that I paid $1,100 to have Christmas lights installed and that he needed to have someone come out so that on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I would have my house lit up for the holiday. He said that he could not accommodate me, so I told him that I was going to call American Express to dispute the charge of $1,100.00 if he could not send an installer out to re-install the lights.
We loved doing business with Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, but will NEVER recommend them or use them again because of the poor installations.
I explained to American Express that if a company advertised that they install Christmas/Holiday Lighting, that they should have someone on-call to deal with problems that may happen if the lights are not working, or in my case: lights hanging off the roof, wreath lying in the dirt.
Jason Butler told me to shut off the lights and move the roof lights from blocking my front door! That is not customer service, and after paying them $1,100, my house will not have lights on for Christmas and Christmas Eve and my house guests will not have the opportunity to see these beautiful lights on my house.
I am devastated by Jason Butler's arrogance and lack of compassion and customer service and American Express agreed with me that I should dispute the whole charge of $1,100.
Next year, I will be paying another company to install Christmas lights on my beautiful home and will be posting my experience with Jason Butler online to warn others about the botched installation that I experienced with his team this year.
