North Star Contractors took ½ of my deposit on December 28, 2018. Kate Dufour took my money with enthusiasm on behalf of Jerry Lowenstein. Approximately 6 weeks were communicated for project to be completed. I patiently waited for project to commence and would not have been surprised if a window back order was communicated. February no updates, March no progress, April the windows arrived. Anticipating what could go wrong I asked Kate to confirm what arrived at their warehouse was what I ordered. With a dismissive attitude she told me they were what was ordered. On 6/19 Kate and contractors arrive with windows. The kitchen window wasn’t my first or second choice, and the master bath was not right at all. 8 weeks later the windows are installed however we continue to deal with their amateur drywall contractors that cannot get in, get out and do professional work. Jerry’s promise to me when the windows were delivered incorrectly was to “do whatever is humanly possible” to bring this project to an end to my satisfaction, per the terms of the contract. Little attention to detail, no regards for our time, and hollow conversation.
