My story is long and I do not know how much space I am allowed so here goes.
I own a small business in Eugene, Oregon. Tyson came in to my shop one day and we hit it off as we are both ex-military. (BTW, I read the previous reviews and met the homeowner that gave a poor review. I do not know why he said the things he did because I decided to hire Tyson based on his report to me. BTW, he too was former military and ex-police officer out of CA.)Tyson learned that I was planning to look for a house to buy and he was EAGER to talk to me about building me a house. I listened. It would be and IS my first build. I needed to know more about Tyson and his crew. He told me what he could do and invited me to a job site on the Oregon Coast. It was a great introduction to him and his crew. I was impressed. Tyson had the home owner come out and talk to me. We talked a lot in private and based on the home owners word as a former police officer and former military man, I decided to begin a serious dialogue with Tyson and his crew about designing and building a home for me.
Literally, a few days later, a dear friend of mine asked if I knew of anyone that could help her and her husband with a tiny house fiasco in Florence. I mentioned Tyson of NorthEdge Const LLC. My friend researched NorthEdge Const LLC and asked If I might introduce him to her and her husband.
I contacted Mr Shuller and we agreed to ride together in his co. truck out to her place in Florence, Or. We arrived at my friend's property in Florence. She and her husband reached an agreement with Tyson to proceed with design work. The following Sunday, Tyson, his wife and his business partner (Adam) met with my friends and me at a pick-nick lunch on her property she had purchased with an inheritance. Tyson offered to go with my friend on the following Monday, to the Lane Co offices to start getting permits. The following Friday, my friend died. A few hours later, I relayed the news to Tyson. He was as floored as I. He told me how impressed he had been with my friend and her husband. The following Friday was the funeral and Tyson was not able to attend as he was hanging flying trusses on a job site. Tyson then called me on the following Monday and asked that I not say anything (yet) to my friends husband, but that Tyson and his crew had decided to build my friends dream tiny house on the coast for free. Her husband would buy the materials and NorthEdge Const LLC would do the labor for free.
I was invited to drive some nails etc so as to have a part in building her dream house. Tyson then put me up in my motel room for 3 nights to help with the dirt work. I have now watched Tyson and his crew literally build from the ground up. Tyson is a Master equip operator at prepping the lot for foundation. (BTW, Tyson has also hired my friend's son-in-law (on several job sites) for as long as he and his wife and kids remain here in Oregon from Oklahoma.) I then hired Tyson to draw up my floor plans. Tonight he delivered my plans to me. I have traveled MUCH and have many ideas and likes about my house. It was HARD for me to narrow things down. Tyson Never lost patience with me. I had to learn that roof line and foundation are key in the overall design. It is Not just about walls and size of rooms. I could not be more pleased with my floor plans. To this point, NorthEdge Const LLC – Tyson – has delivered Far More to me than could Ever be expected. (we ((yes, me too)) still are working on my friends tiny house. That whole situation is a major fix caused by the contractor and the Realtor that sold my friend her property and the structure on it. BTW, the city of Florence told my friend to tear it down and start over Even when it was listed as a one bdrm cottage and sold as such. NorthEdge Const LLC is making that whole mess go away and is now doing it right.
Thank Tyson and Crew.

Do not use this company for anything. They were hired as a sub to frame my house for a larger builder. They were on what should have been a 2 week job for about 4 weeks and were not done yet. The work they had completed was full of mistakes and was not even basic competent carpentry. When mistakes and delays were pointed out, the "managing partner" Tyson Shuler made excuses, blamed the work issues on others, or said they would go back and fix it later. Then they covered over several issues. On one occasion he lied in front of me, saying that they had fixed an issue when I had photos from the day before proving that he didn't. They continually showed up late in the day, worked many half days, and even missed an inspection because of it. Continual promises to work extra to catch up were honored one day in 4 weeks. The crew varied from day to day, and I was told twice that a particular guy was there because he was a friend staying with them and they put him to work for something to do. Other than Tyson Shuler, no one claimed any past or present military affiliation in spite of the company claim to have an agreement with the VA to hire veterans. The crew continually left the work site a mess, dropping trash, work tools, etc where they stood and walking away. I had to ask 3 times for them to quit leaving large dangerous power tools plugged in when they left. I loaned Tyson groceries and gas money because he said he didn't know how they were going to make it to the job or feed the crew (they were camping on the coast nearby). He was supposed to pay me back or do some extra work for me, but neither happened. The building company finally fired them and brought in another framer. The other framer worked 6-7 work days total, half of which were to fix NorthEdge's mistakes. They pointed out many issues I hadn't even noticed that they had to completely tear down and re-frame.

NorthEdge came to our home being built and cleaned up after the contractor that was there before. We thought we would never be able to move in then NorthEdge showed up and helped our dream come true. Amazing company and very knowledgeable staff.

Tyson Shuler is has been a nightmare. Dealing with him has shattered our faith in the decency of people. How he is still in business baffles me. He was hired to re-build my parents' barn after it burned down. He took their money, did virtually no work on the project (it is still a scalded, bare plot of land), avoided their phone calls, dodged all other attempts at contact, and purchased no materials for them for several months. They are good, trusting people and he has effectively stolen their money. We've asked him to refund the money or begin construction immediately and still absolutely nothing has been done. My parents, who are NOT litigious people, have been forced to threaten legal action. And they'll act on that threat if necessary, but the chances of getting their money back are slim, regardless. This guy sucks. Do not trust Tyson Shuler. Do not give him your money, no matter how genuine and charming he seems. He will rip you off. Save yourselves.
