Paul, the father of Jacob, the owner of this company came by my dad's place and proposed to fix the bumps in his driveway and seal it. Supposedly it would take approx. 4 hours. It took two days. Equipment didn't work and I don't know what else took so long. He also tried to do less than what he had promised and when confronted said he would do the other bumps as well. It all seemed very shady when he gave a business card that didn't have the city we lived in (Vancouver) and he said they had an office in Vancouver so it should be on the card. We then found out there was no office in Vancouver. We tried calling the company but nobody was available over the weekend. After the job was finished he sent one of his guys for payment and tried to get my dad to pay more for the other bumps and he refused saying that wasn't the agreement. He had made the check out to North Star Paving. The guy came back and said he needed to make the check out to Paul. My dad refused saying he was keeping the company's name on it. Next day, Paul came back and was confrontational with my dad, who, by the way is 91 years old. My dad made the check out to Jacob Najar, owner and left it at that. I've never heard of hiring someone who is representing a company and not making the check out to the business. Another thing I'd like to add is that Paul was very disrespectful toward my dad. While talking to me he referred to him as the old man. This 'old man' is a World War II vet who has lived an honorable life and should be treated with respect. I will never recommend your company. The only reason I'm giving you one star is that there are no minus stars and it won't let me submit this without checking at least one.
