On June 4, 2019, I signed a service contract with "All Natural Pest Elimination" to replace two sump pumps and the plastic vapor barrier. The inspector, Danny Olson, did the inspection and said the total cost would be $6,366.00. He said the price included new pumps, trenching, soil replacement, removal of the old vapor barrier and installing new barrier. On June 22, 2019, a subcontractor arrived to replace the sump pumps. He arrived at 9:30 AM and completed the job at 11:20. There was no trenching, soil replacment or new water connections. On June 26, 2019, the barrier instalation installers arrived. The removal of the old barrier and installation of the new barrier took three hours. I asked the sump pump and barrier installer if there was any need for trenching or other work and they said "No." Since I felt Mr. Oslon had over-charged us, I called Natural Pest and asked for an itemized labor and material invoice. I was told that was not possible and they charge by the square foot. After several telephone calls complaining to the company manager, Jack, I was told the charges were incorrect and we would be receiving a refund. Bottom line, I feel Natural Pest misrepresented the estimate and took advantage of the situation. Even with the refund, Natural Pest charged us $873.20 an hour to replace two pumps and lay down rolls of plastic. It is my opinion that Natural Pest overcharges for their work, hides the costs by refusing to provide an itemized service invoice and takes advantange of seniors. i would never recommend them to anyone for pest control or other services. As the parent company, you need to do an internal reveiw of their business practices.
