I hired Northwest Structures and deeply regret it. After placing a substantial deposit, they never showed up to do any work, and every request for progress or mediation was ignored or denied. Out of frustration, I searched Idaho’s public iCourt records and discovered 36 cases tied to the owner, including a petty theft charge, multiple district court cases, and small claims cases where, according to the public record, he appears not to have paid a dime on judgments entered against him.
Moreover, the owner seems to set up multiple companies—Selkirk Products LLC, Northwest Structures (doing business as Selkirk Products), and even one under his son’s name (though the owner is listed as its director). In my personal opinion, this points to a pattern of questionable practices. If you dig into these public records, you’ll see for yourself how many disputes and unpaid judgments stack up.
From my experience, Northwest Structures failed to honor their contract or demonstrate the professionalism one expects from a licensed contractor. I strongly urge anyone considering them to thoroughly research their background via iCourt and verify their licensing status. The ordeal I’ve endured has been a costly and time-consuming lesson. I only hope others can avoid the same fate by looking into the extensive public record first.
