  New custom home plumbing

  Lew Dewitt is the owner of this plumbing company.
  His company, NuFlo, ran all of the plumbing and installed the plumbing fixtures in our new custom built home.
  Recently he had his plumber Rob replace a shower head in our home that had burst at the seams and was under warranty.
  I wasn't home at the time of the replacement, but my wife was.

  Rob and my wife chatted a little, the shower head got replaced, and all was fine.

  Then I get an email from my builder saying that Lew Dewitt (the owner of NuFlo) would not be doing anymore warranty work at my home because, according to Lew, my wife told Rob that the showerhead was broken because I dropped it while pulling out a filter.
  Lew said I made a false claim and he wouldn't do any more warranty work at my home.

  First of all, that is a flat out lie. My wife never said that, or anything like that.
  Secondly, I have never touched that showerhead.
  It is a rainhead that is 9ft in the air, and worked perfectly up until the time when it burst at the seam.
  There was never a need for me to touch it, much less drop it.

  My wife is obviously upset, and so am I.
  She feels violated.

  My wife had the plumber Rob's phone number in her recent call list, since he called ahead before coming out.
  I called Rob and simply asked what he thought about the showerhead and if he had any ideas why it would burst at the seam. Rob said he didn't know why it broke, and said he has never seen a shower head break like that before, but tried to comfort me by saying he replaced it with a Moen and we wouldn't have anymore problems.

  Then I told Rob about the email I received.

  Rob instanly dismissed the story that was told in the email. He said that my wife never told him anything like that, and the showerhead had no signs of being dropped and there were no signs of impact. He said it looked new, other than the failed seam.

  Rob was interested in seeing the email and said he would talk to Lew about it, so I asked Rob to text me his email address. I forwarded Rob the email and asked that he reply with his thoughts...but he never replied. I also texted Rob to ask again that he reply to the email...he never responded.
  I emailed Lew Dewitt, and he hasn't replied either.

  At the very core of this company there are issues with their honesty and integrity, not to mention the cheap showerhead that burst at the seams.
  Rob seemed to be genuinely surprised and shocked about the "husband dropped and broke it" email. So, I don't think he is to blame.

  But, I would not recommend that anyone hire NuFlo for anything. And, if your builder is using them on your home, I recommend that you insist on having them hire a different plumbing contractor for your home.
