  Normally one would not describe their heating and cooling equipment as a work of art, but I hope to change your mind after describing how Fedor, Aleksander, David, Artur, and the rest of Nur HVAC did an impeccably beautiful install of a new heat pump and new ductwork, removal of old gas furnace, and removal of old asbestos ducts. Throughout the process, they made me feel like a highly valued customer. I would recommend them with zero hesitation to anyone looking for an honest and diligent HVAC contractor that performs top-notch work.

  This will be a very long review. Nur HVAC is so awesome that I feel they deserve having a story written about my entire experience with them that was positive all the way through.

  [Sales experience] After dealing with the shock in natural gas prices and the sweltering summers, I decided it was time to ditch my old inefficient gas furnace upgrade me and family to the latest efficient heat pump technology that both reduces my utility bills in the winter and provides air conditioning during the summer. I shopped around various HVAC contractors on Yelp, and I was fortunate to have Nur HVAC respond. David, the owner, came out to give me a quote, and I immediately had a great first impression of him and Nur. Unlike other companies who sent sales reps, David was highly knowledgeable in HVAC, and he listened to me and what I wanted as opposed to trying to push me a hard sale. David is a rare gem in the HVAC industry, where instead of trying to upsell every chance, he actually thinks about what is needed, what's a waste of money, and he conducts himself with the utmost integrity to give the best recommendation for me and not his own pocketbook. The integrity and honesty of Nur is seen when they automatically included permits and HERS testing in the quote. Several other installers I spoke to wanted extra for the permit, the implication being that the default would be unpermitted work. I continued conversing with David, and he would always respond quickly and professionally. At the end of the day, Nur came in with a very competitive bid, and it was an easy decision for me to choose them because of the rapport I developed with David.

  [Install experience] Nur handled applying for a permit, and once the permit was approved, they immediately scheduled my install. This was a fairly large project, and they estimated that it would take about one week's worth of work. My install team was Fedor and Aleksander, and I cannot overstate how awesome they were. They showed up punctually every day at 9am in the morning and worked until 6pm in the evening until the whole job was completed. The pride that they took in their work is immediately apparent: the work was not rushed, no corners were cut, they made sure to do everything right all the way down the finest details, and they made sure to clean up every small speck of dust and dirt. For example, when putting in the new vents: they applied several sealant coats inside the vent box to make sure that the ductwork would not leak conditioned air to increase system efficiency. When they finished, they cleaned my attic and made it spotless. Fedor and Aleksander entertained my curiosity in the work and were more than happy to take my feedback and requests, which is further evidence that they actually enjoy the work and have a customer-first approach to their job. For example, there was an audible humming heard inside the home when the outdoor unit was first powered on, and they quickly acted on my observation to add vibration dampening materials that made the noise go away. While making small talk with Fedor, I learned that he used to work in the HVAC industry before he came to America, which explains the expertise and perfectionism that he brought to my job. If you end up working with Nur, I unequivocally recommend you to request Fedor and Aleksander to work on your job, you won't be disappointed.

  [After install] Kseniia and Chinaza from the office ensured that the HERS tester and city inspector, who are third parties not affiliated with Nur, could be scheduled around my busy life. The HERS tester showed up on time, and he finished the HERS test within 30 minutes and told me that everything looked great. After this, Nur set up the city inspection so the permit could be finaled. Artur arrived on inspection day, and he helped ensure that the inspection process would be completed smoothly. The city inspector commented on how well done the install was, and he only had effusive praise for how well done everything was: the ducting, the air handler, the outdoor unit, the condensate line, and even how clean the attic was. On top of all of this, I am saving money on my utility bill!
