  It's crazy James Bomotti has gotten away with this for so long. We had the same experience with James in May. After giving him a deposit for concrete counters, he gave multiple excuses, dragged the job out 2 plus months and was a no-show on the installation (after 2 had already been scheduled). We lost out on about $1600. The money is gone, but I will not tire out in pursuit of him. I think his MO is to wear people down and eventually they just move on and strike it up to a lesson. That will not happen with me James. I will take this as far as it needs to go to keep you from continuing to scam other homeowners.

  We had a similar experience with James this winter. Hired him in early November to build a concrete slab for our dining room. He came to our home, provided a cost estimate and delivery schedule. We paid him a deposit of $275. He told us a couple times that the slab was ready and just needed "finishing touches" and he would deliver soon. Strung us along over the holidays in that manner, and since then has not answered emails or phone calls. We have requested a refund several times to no avail. Fortunately, we only lost a relatively small amount of money (lesson learned) but I would really like to see this person put out of business. He is clearly being intentionally fraudulent, which is a crime, and I hope these other cases against him amount to something...

  This contractor is a scam artist and his rating should be -5. He does business using various names and once he has a deposit, he is in the wind. He contracted to furnish countertops for our restaurant project, then failed to deliver on time. When attempts were made to contact him he repeatedly refused to answer calls and e-mails. He then said he had the countertops and would delivery them but never did. He had a lot of excuses. We finally told him we would give him 24 hours to return our deposit or provide the countertops or proceed against him to the full extent of the law. He hung up on our contractor who also spoke to him. His supposed place of business is non-existent, his contractor's license has been suspended for lack of payment of fees and his business registration with the Oregon Secretary of State - Department Corporations is also in arrears and has been suspended. We have involved the police and will sue him.

  Had a similar experience has the person above. James and NW Concrete Interiors, is an absolute train wreck, and gives all others in this business a bad name. Paid him my deposit, the initial work was such a mess, and then after months and months of trying to rectify the project (and endless excuses), I have never been able to get my money refunded after multiple promises.

  Stay as far away as you can!

  Hired this "pro" to do concrete counters in my home. after 4 weeks not only did he not complete them he never even started them! And, yes I paid him $4600 down. Which after doing so i couldn't get ahold of the guy. EVER... I finally had to track him down! After many excuses and BS saying he would pay back my deposit I had to have my attorney sue him. This guy is a lame excuse for a business proffesional. I even gave him the opportunity to pay it back in two payments. He missed the first deadline, (big surprise). Stay far far away from this idiot! It's been more than 90 days.
