Our project, which should have taken 1 week at the very most has drawn out over the past nine months due to mistakes made by the contractor. We detailed our specifications in the contract and Oak Tree agreed to supply the materials we requested. Time and time and time again the replacement door and the windows we requested had to be reordered. Each time they were reordered we had to wait another 6 weeks for the next product to arrive. First the color was wrong, then the door opened the wrong way, then the door was damaged either in shipping or handling but was installed anyway. The windows were the wrong size on all 3 shipments. For the better part of the last 9 months our house has been in a state of under construction and partially finished. We are awaiting the replacement of the damaged door. Oak tree doesn't believe they bear any responsibility. While we have paid the for their services according to the terms of the contract, they are requesting additional monies for the additional work they created. It has become apparent that we will have to hire another contractor to finish the job and clean up the mess created by their negligence.
