We contracted Bill with Oasis swimming pools back in July of 2019 to build us a pool with screen enclosure. Today is 3/4/21 and this is still not complete. There have been far too many issues to list all of them with this builder, but all I can say about this guy is that he is totally broke, completely robs Peter to pay Paul, he subs every part of the job out to the lowest bidder, is absolutely atrocious at ever keeping his word on anything, and has been the biggest mistake for my home I will probably ever experience. The fact he doesn't even have 2 pennies to rub together should be reason for anyone with a brain to know to avoid him. He doesn't have money to pay subs and will constantly ask you for an advanced draw or to pay a sub directly. In fact, he has trouble finding subs because he is notorious among tradesmen for NOT PAYING THEM. My screen cage company refused to work with Bill and would only work with me directly. He underbids himself on EVERY PART of the job and ends up upside down in the middle, not even at the end of it.
It's common knowledge that you never want to go with the bottom bidder. This company was $10k lower than the next lowest, plus he was about 3 weeks late on getting me his estimate, which raised red flags. A good friend of mine had a gorgeous pool built by him and vouched for him, so I took the risk.
Nearly 2 years after signing with Bill, we are under contract for selling our home and can not get a pass for final inspection. He has failed every inspection since day 1. At this point he doesn't have the $45 or $90 it takes to pay for a reinspection, so I have been doing it myself, and now I am going to have to hire a professional electrician to redo what Bill did. Bill is not an electrician, but to cut a few corners and save a few bucks, he's cool with thinking he knows what he's doing setting your home up for a potential fire hazard. I have since forbid him from coming back on my property and have opted to getting this squared away myself, since Bill is completely useless.
Bill's work is deplorable at best, and if you are reading this review, thinking of hiring that guy (he's not a company, he's one guy), and ignore what I said, then I don't feel sorry for you and you will get what you pay for, I have zero doubt about that.
I would never hire or recommend this guy to anyone ever again. I don't like to mess with anyone on how they make their money, but this guy is ripping people off left and right. I have filed a complaint to the state as well, which he just ignores thinking it will go away, because I truly feel he needs to lose his license.
