This serves as a letter of recomendation for O'Donovon Carpentry. 08/28\2012
I would like to thank Tom as well as his co-worker for all the outstanding work they have done for my wife and I over the last 7 years. When we first purchased our home we met with Tom and layed out all our ideas and plans we had. Tom created a plan for redesigning our home little by little that has completely been flawless. It has been a pleasure working with him as well as his recomended electrician and plumber. I completely recomend anyone considering large or small projects to call him. With O'Donovon Carpentry there never was a day that he did not show up, all wok was completed as contracted and on time, never any surprise add ons, job was always left clean at end of each day and most importantly he kept us up to date at the end of each day to what was being done, how and would give recomendations if he felt we needed to change anyhing.Yours Truly

Tom O’Donovan is not just a skilled contractor – he’s an artist with his carpentry work! Our basement had to be demolished thanks to Hurricane Irene, and the water, mold and mildew it left in its wake. We were just hoping to return to normalcy with a functioning but not particularly attractive basement. Everyone within a four block radius was looking for a contractor (we live within a block of the east branch of the Rahway River and our town was featured on ABC Nightly News for flooding after the storm). We felt lucky to find Tom based on a terrific recommendation and have him get to work shortly after the disaster.
Tom was consistent, level-headed and thoughtful throughout the rebuilding, and consulted with me at every step. He brought in top-quality people and they all worked hard. He made suggestions that took into consideration both the awkward design (not a right angle to be found) and how to accomplish a professional-looking job on a reasonable budget. The result is that our basement looks so beautiful that we find ourselves actually spending more time there, marveling at the transformation. He had his electrician bring the wiring up to code, his floor guy coped with an incredibly unlevel floor, and he himself improved the plumbing when our plumber couldn’t resolve the problem with a sewer ejector, a most important component of a below ground bathroom.
Tom is a talented carpenter who created a built-in hutch which is so much more attractive than the shelving we previously had for a t.v., and its functionality in terms of increased storage space goes beyond what we had envisioned.
