I contracted for floating steps and they arrived a day later than scheduled to do the work. The day they arrived they did a bait and switch with a lot of double talk stating that they could not do floating steps. We decided on a compromise, which they still did not deliver. They were "training the Mexican to do all the work" as they put it. He actually did all the work while the other 2 stood/sat around watching. What they ended up installing was ordinary steps, which was sub par, not level and began pitting right away. It was supposed to be exposed aggregate which was not exposed in all areas, was crooked, as well as many other issues. Every attempt to resolve the matter has resulted in contractor not keeping their word. Now it looks like I have to take my complaints to the contractors board.

After many, many attempts to get this contractor to honor their guarantee, they made many promises that they broke. I have been forced to file a claim with their bonding company as well as the California's State Contractors Board. I will update when I have won my case, proving that this contractor was wrong in its business dealings. I have since had other contractors come and look at their work, confirming sub-par workmanship. Most shook their head in disbelief.
