Took my deposit 5 months ago and they never even pulled permits. Won't return any of my calls or messages and all of my points of contact are gone. They are crooks and are stealing money.

Unfortunately there is no option for 0 starts to used. I had to gave them one star for signing me up 13 months ago and never finish the project after it’s bees paid upfront.
Never use them if you want your Pool to be Actually finished. Check out the BBB profile as well . Absolutely Terrible experience -

I have very few regrets in life and signing with Olympus Pools is one of them. We signed a contract with them in Dec 2020, broke ground in Feb 2021. Our program manager quit Olympus pools due to him or the subcontractors not being paid. We paid $20,800 for basically a dirt hole with rebar and erosion that threatened the foundation of our home. We called, texted and emailed Olympus pools nearly daily for almost 2 months and nobody from Olympus pools staff ever called back. We also have a lien filed against our home because the excavation subcontractor was never paid. After the very poor customer service and questionable business practices, I decided to fire Olympus pools and put the permits in my name. 100% ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Worse contractor experience in my life.

If it was possible to give ZERO stars I would! Similar to those that have already posted, we signed a contract Aug 2020 and we have barely 1/4 of the pool built. More that 4 PM’s and more than 5 schedulers. They are all quitting !! I even had Alexis call me and assure me our pool would be finished and that they needed some time. We are heartbroken and truly do not know what to do. We can’t see our Permit on the county website any longer and would love to know what is our next step!! The owner should go to prison and Hillsborough County should hold some accountability for issuing so many permits with no proof they would have the ability to deliver!!

We’ve signed our contract on early September 2020. The contraction process has been a nightmare from the very beginning. The initial dig was delayed by over a month and I have had to chase and beg them for all subsequent activities which have occurred since.
The staff is dismissive and clueless. They will ask you to confirm what has or has not been done and what material has and has not been delivered each time you speak to someone. Escalation calls are completely useless. If you manage to get a hold of someone they will lie to you and promise that they will look into “it” and address “it” but you never hear back.
If you are in the process of looking for a contractor, do not use Olympus. This process has been an absolute mess. Save yourself a headache and hire another company. -

They want you to pay upfront, before the work is done, this should be a huge redflag to anyone and should run away. I fell for it because of their "discount". It has been 11 months and I am stuck with a shell of a hole in the ground and no work is scheduled because they are broke. They can't pay their sub contractors and liens are being threatened. Most people that have a contract with them will end up paying another company to finish their pool. There are many ABC, and NBC news articles in Tampa area on this company, Do your research, do not hire this company.

By Harl P.May 2, 2021Build Spa$57,000
Olympus Pools has been consistently absent from my current project. The biggest issue is I am only getting a spa. I am a 100 percent disabled vet looking to do therapy in my spa. It has been since Aug 2020 that contract was signed. I have hole in ground with green water waiting for Olympus to finish. Past comments from scheduler, project managers and various industry personnel stated this spa should have only taken 2 months. It is a complete eyesore and Olympus continues to give false information and promises. STILL NOT FINISHED WITH NO INDICATION OF WHEN.

We signed with Olympus Pools in July 1, 2020, today is 5/1/2021 Yes you read that correctly and we are still sitting waiting on our pool to be finished, we were told 10 /12 weeks. They did not even start the project until Dec 2020. We have spoken with both the owners, we have been treated rudely by the staff. Nothing is their fault all the blame belongs to covid apparently. They do not return phone call, they do not update builder trend beside we will look into it. They keep changing project managers. I have called every day this week the staff simply picks the phone up and hangs it back down.

I signed my contract on 6/11/2020 and paid in full $73k plus later add one of $25k, also paid in full. My pool is still not completed. Olympus Pools should not be listed on this site as any recommendation. They have stolen millions of dollars from 1000 clients over the past 2 years that still have open permits. They dig the hole and leave. When we found out subcontractors were not getting paid a month ago, vendors were not shipping products, sub-contractors were owed over 50k each, salesmen were not being paid. We knew the company was broke and have a huge financial mismanagement. We had been previously asked to purchase items ourself to receive credit. We are $15k in debt and James Staten told Joe yesterday to relay a message, “No he wasn’t going to pay or finish our project”.

I have to write this review because of how disastrous our Olympus Pools pool build experience has been and because the company simply does not care to get it right and finish the project. I will update this review as appropriate.
The Important Details:
• We have never requested a change to our original plan, so no delay because of changes in the project.
• We have had three (3) project managers and four (4) schedulers.
• I’ve been amazed by the number of times I’ve been asked to tell staff (even PMs) the status of my pool build and whether items have been ordered and delivered.
• Communication has been extremely poor with very long periods between updates.
• The company had incorrect stone veneer delivered 3x over a 2-month period.
• Contract signed on 5/13. Paid 10% deposit.
• The original project manager, Mario, never set up time to meet with us about my pool build until many calls were made.
• Excavation took place on 7/2. Made 30% payment.
• Gunite took place on 7/14. Made 30% payment.
• Plumbing & electrical work completed on 7/30.
• There was almost ~2 months of absolutely no progress.
• A new project manager, Chris, was assigned in mid-August.
• The plumbing and electrical inspection was completed on 9/9. No one at the company knew.
• The footer was poured on 9/14.
• Crew came out to install coping and stone veneer on 9/16. The installers came to my property over 10x since the start of their install work when incorrect product was delivered multiple times.
• On 9/16, I made a 20% payment when progress began to be made. Work immediately came to a screeching halt because of issues. Only 5% remaining which is due after final pool inspection.
• On 9/26, I went to the Olympus office to complain about the issues. I met with the Customer Service Manager, Pete, who reassured me that he would get personally involved and ensure the project would move forward on schedule.
• On 10/30, the subcontractor finished stone veneer install, but did not have enough coping to complete the coping install.
• On 11/5, after text messages for a status update, we learned of more departures and a new project manager (the 3rd), Mike, was assigned. He arrived at my property to check on the pool build status.
• Incredibly, later in the day (11/5), I received an invoice for payment of the final 5%, which shouldn’t be due until completed pool build passes inspection.
Services: Design, Construction
• UPDATE (11/10): I met with a senior-level team member, Jordan, from Olympus today. He laid out the remainder of the process and committed to working with the company's construction team and subcontractors to have our pool build completed as quickly as possible.
• UPDATE (4/12): We are currently on week 49. Plaster was completed on 1/29. We converted to salt on 3/12. I had to follow-up as the company forgot about us again. Our decking has not been fully installed. Most of the decking was installed on 12/11 (4 months ago), but, despite it being on the original plan/contract and talking to PM many times, the company did not install travertine on elevated patio behind the pool. Plus, the workmanship of decking is fairly poor. The company has not completed the decking install or repaired the poor workmanship or completed service items. i.e. bad bubbler value was installed. My pool failed final inspection (of course). -

We signed on July 22, 2020 and dug Oct 6th 2020. We still don’t have coping or plumbing even though we paid on time with no changes. Only delays due to them not following design or ordering wrong materials. Mistakes at every step of the way. Also false advertising with their sales brochures. We have been lied to continuously and this has been the most stressful project one could ever deal with. Very poorly managed. Watch ABC Action News on April 26th at 6PM for other customers in similar situations.

By Jennifer B.April 8, 2021Pool Build$50,000
We paid in full, in cash (final payment Feb 25, on time, of course). Have been under contract since June 2020, with water in the pool since March 2021. I’ve notified them numerous times of all the issues and missing items, the pool leaking terribly, the sinking pavers, missing pavers, missing coping, missing fountain that is just a PVC pipe sticking out of my pavers, no overflow line (so if it storms, my pool will flood into my home), the brown stains on the plaster they shot etc.
No one has been here in months. No one calls back. No one even calls when they don’t show up on an expected day to explain why no one showed up.
They’ve lost their BBB, have an unreal amount of unhappy customers and lawsuits, and are about to have one more added to the pile.
Never ever do business with this company. Ever. -
By Holly T.April 3, 2021
Worst company ever! We signed in March 2020 and it is now April 2021 and I’m hoping we are done by June!!!! They are rude, make excuses, lie, so not keep their word, delay, make the experience so horrible you’d wish you never decided to build a pool. Save yourself the hassle abs use a reputable company. They are no longer one and I wish I’d known that.

Horrible. Do your homework- go to reviews on the Better Business Bureau, and Olympus pools sucks on Facebook. You will get the full picture. Avoid this place at all costs. Currently 9 1/2 MONTHS in and no end in sight. RUN!!

Awful! They do not respond! They take your money and leave you with a dirt hole. Nothing is being done. You do not hear from anyone a month at a time then they say they are coming 5 times a in row no call no show. RIP OFF! My worst purchase of my lifetime. So UNHAPPY. Even told a manager would call me and guess what, NOTHING! Voicemails are full, office people can not get ahold of Crews, Inspectors can not get ahold of crews, and we can not get ahold of crews. FAILED the inspection. They need to STOP selling and have their sells people helping with getting the current under construction pools completed. I get that sometimes it rains and that is a delay and crews get behind and that is a delay and SOMETIMES things are on backorder. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. This is pure and simple Horrible handling. GO WITH ANY OTHER POOL COMPANY!

Awful experience! This place is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. The project manager's are not qualified in any way whatsoever. We had to fire our first one "Mark" and then our second one Miguel was just as bad maybe worse. Multiple times we were lied to and told stories about delays and issues. Good luck getting hold of any of the project managers. They will ignore your phone calls and texts. We got so upset from all the lies and terrible workmanship that we called the main company in Lutz and asked to talk to the owners. They put us in touch with their customer service rep Pete who was the rudest customer rep! He was very defensive and would talk right over me before ever hearing what the reason I even called for. I asked to talk to the owner Mario and he said "no". I replied "did you just tell me no?" and then he said "well it's because Mario is at a wedding....mind you today was Monday. Wedding on a Monday? It got so bad that we had to tell our finance company to hold payment. After firing our first project manager we ended up with Miguel. This guy is clueless. The pool workmanship was a joke. Mistakes with the plumbing. They had to tear up some of the tile work to fix. When they came to reattach the pipes it was during the tropical storm we had in September. They were basically gluing the pipes in a torrential downpour! Yep that glue should hold well! I went out to talk to the crew (sporting flip flops and beach gear) gluing my pipes and said, " I'm electrician and you really shouldn't be gluing pipes in the rain." He told me he had a special rain resistant "glue" LOL! We have friends in the neighborhood who went with other companies and did not have any of the problems we experienced. There's another pool around the corner from us Olympus is building....those purchasers are in the process of suing the company and have lawyers involved. Look at the reviews earlier. You can't miss it The review is long. Their issues is pretty much a mirror image of all the issues we had. We are still waiting on things that have not been taken care of. We just gave up and decided to do it ourselves. We were made a lot of promises that were not honored. The workmanship is subpar and very unorganized. My travertine tile is completely unlevel and dipped on one end of the four corners. Everyone who comes over asked me what happened in that particular corner. I tell them my second project manager - Miguel took pictures and said he'd get back to me and of course he never did and never will. The cleanup was atrocious I basically had to have a dumpster brought in to pick up all the junk myself. And the grading was non-existent. We even tried to get a hold of the owner of Olympus - Mario through the only way we could find this phantom which was LinkedIn. No matter who we talked to at Olympus pools and how many times we asked for the owner(s) we were never able to do so. We even talked to the accountant who fielded some of our calls to prevent us from talking to the owner(s). Feel free to reach out to me and I can give you a detailed dissertation of my problems along with pictures. I'm going to say this and hope you heed the warning, do not use this company.
*****UPDATE******. As you can see they replied to my review. Do you think they even tried to contact me or rectify the situation? Nope! This company is just full of lies and smoking mirrors. They are non-existent once they get you to sign the contract. Buyer beware! Feel free to reach out to me I have lots of pictures that I will post that show the horrible workmanship. Wait till you see the pictures of my lawn when they said they were done picking up the garbage and grading my lawn ? It was a wreck! Cost me hundreds to repair and I had to get a dumpster to get rid of all their left over garbage. Awful company!
******Update****** February 7th 2021. Still have never tried to contact me per their reply to my review. They act like the care. Liars! Stay away!

Olympus Pools is a shotty company that does not back up their work. They hire any subcontractor that will show up. We have a paver deck that was installed incorrectly and this company has just abandoned the job. The project start in April for permitting and now it is December 20, 2020 and we never hear from them. They took our money and left us with a hole in our back yard. How do they get away with this.

I do not recommend this so called company. They are a joke. They don't care about you once they get your deposit check. That is when lies and disrespect starts. They will not show up when promised then disrespect you if you complain. Top to bottom Olympus pools was the worst contractor I have ever worked with. Run!

Olympus Pools was a great company to work with. Yes, there were some delays but it is construction, and we have a new house too- so we're familiar with delays. If you want an amazing back yard oasis, Olympus is where it's at. Our neighbor went with a different company and while they were done sooner, it is definitely not the same. I would invite you to look at our pool versus our neighbor's pool, as they say, "Night and Day." Overall, great job Olympus Pools! We have the backyard of our dreams!

Horrible pool company to ever come across. I’m so glad we never made it past the permitting. They blame you for everything not going right. Communication is non existent. They want you to do the leg work for them. They don’t care about you as their customer. Please read all reviews. What others are saying is the truth and I never made it past the permit. I s fend a contract with them July 10th 2020. Picked out my pavers and tile. And here it is aug 10th and they never submitted my permit paperwork. They blamed it on me. After multiple phone calls and text finally someone gets back to you and wants to put blame on homeowners. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

The sub contractors placing leans on customers home due to Olympus not paying them! Avoid OP like the plague!
