I am writing to formally address recurring issues with the central air conditioning units installed by this company at my residence during a construction project in 2021. Initially, both units operated satisfactorily. However, by the summer of 2022, we encountered significant functionality problems with one of the units, which failed to adequately cool the main floor.
Despite multiple attempts to contact Fernando, the owner, including messages left directly and communication through our general contractor, his response was delayed. When he did respond, he attended to the unit, reporting a fixed leak and recharging the system. The repair seemed effective for the remainder of that summer.
Regrettably, this issue recurred in the following two summers, each time requiring multiple contacts and threats of reporting to Consumer Affairs before eliciting a response from Fernando. Although he claimed to have addressed the leaks during these visits, the problem persisted annually.
Most concerning, on April 18, 2024, upon replacing the entire system, the new installation team discovered that the Sensing Bulbs crucial for monitoring refrigerant flow had not been installed. These components, along with their installation kits, were found unopened in the attic above the air handlers. Furthermore, Fernando had previously committed to using a dye to locate the leaks, a step that, according to the new installers, was never taken. He also mentioned using a temporary sealant for the leaks, which he allegedly never returned to properly fix.
The pattern of temporary fixes and the oversight in the initial installation have led to unnecessary expenses and inconvenience on my part.
