OnShore was a subcontractor on a small kitchen upgrade project. I'm the homeowner. It appeared that he did acceptable work (everything was done as requested, and the GC had no complaints). But then there was a problem. Most of the under-cabinet lights stopped working about a month or so after the job was finished. To his credit, he came out and seemed to fix the problem -- only he didn't. The lights stopped working again after a couple of weeks. So the GC asked him to come back again, but he didn't respond. I'm an engineer, and did some troubleshooting, and found the problem was a faulty connector (from the 12 wiring to the lighting tape). The GC told OnShore that all he needed to do was change a connector. OnShore never responded. I was gone for 2 months, and on my return, the GC again asked OnShore to fix the problem. He contacted me (via text) and made an appointment, which he didn't show up for. Then he made another appointment, and didn't show. Then said he'd be there in 4 hours, and didn't show again. Since then, he hasn't responded at all to my texts. I asked him just to drop off a connector, and I'd fix it -- he never did. So finally I bought a connector on line and fixed it myself in 5 minutes. So in summary, he may do adequate work, but if there is a problem, forget it. You'll never see him again. And he will not correct the problem or even contact you. Don't use OnShore.
