We have had several excellent experiences using Alan and Open Concepts Creations. They have done several projects for us and there is nothing they can't handle. They are our "goto" general contractor. They are fairly priced, responsive, prompt and do quality work. They have completed several flip homes (complete remodel) for us, a foundation leak repair and rebuild of the entire bottom floor of my personal home, have done maintenance on several of our rental properties and I have referred them to several of my clients who have been very happy with their work as well.

Open Concepts(Also do business under Alan Aday Construction) worked on 3 separate projects and one referral for me since February 2020. They will never work on another one. They were more worried about collecting money than completing the job on time and focusing on a quality finished product.
Each project was plagued with major delays and costs overruns, unprofessional behavior, and low-quality work by inexperienced and unsupervised crews. My wife and I were essentially part of the supervisor team to make sure work was completed timely and done correctly. We also spent time shopping for materials and running errands for the workers.
House # 1 Tens of thousands of $$ over budget, long delays, prepayment for labor each week and poor coordination with subcontractors and crew.
Difficulty getting the project all the finished at the end.
House# 2 $20K over budget, the crew used to do the job were not painters and did a poor job throughout the house, they missed a major plumbing leak that had to be repaired, and it took an extra 3 months to complete the project. The project was stopped multiple for permit issues with the city. Difficulty getting the project all the finished at the end.
Referral We referred Open Concepts to a friend who needed to fix up their sale. They recommended not repairing the foundation and tried to help cover up the damage. It was found by an inspector, had to be repaired, and delayed closing.
House# 3 (Our Home) We had a slab leak and it was a complete disaster from day one. Open Concepts delayed starting the project for over 6 weeks due to insurance delays. Our insurance company stated, "It is like they have never dealt with insurance before. "
One mess up after another.
Our kitchen cabinets were demoed before pictures or measurements were done. New drawers were configured all wrong and the new island was significantly smaller and not the same shape. The cabinet subcontractor refused to come and complete the work without payment and I had to call him and work it out on my own.
The original paint crew (Non-painters) did a terrible job another company had to be hired to redo all the painting.
The microwave and oven cabinet configured wrong. The oven was damaged during removal and had to be replaced at my own expense.
Kitchen sink was installed unlevel and scratched during the process.
Several small jobs were left uncompleted. The Electrical and plumbing work was completed by a worker instead of licensed plumber and electrician.
Proper clean up, touch up, and construction trash removal was never completed!! The owner Alan Aday never returned one call or text!
