    I had a tree on a rental property which was infested with carpenter bees. The exterminator treated it and said it was a hazard and needed to be removed. I had called someone else and they kept delaying. I guess they did not want a small job. I called Oscar and they came the next day. His price was lower. A week later the other guy called me from the house and said which tree are you talking about? I told him you are too late Oscar chopped it down.

    Well unfortunately I have to change my review. Oscar and his crew did a good job with the trees. However, after looking a few days later, a shed (which the picked up with a fork lift was broken, slab stones where I made a patio for my mom were broken, and without asking permission, they drove the heavy machines on the property of our neighbor to the left, and made a mess of their grass.

    They were the highest quote, however, I decided to go with them because Oscar seemed knowledgeable and "friendly".

    They completed the job well, it is fun to watch them climb the trees and take them down that way.

    However, the Oscar's true character came out when I made a mistake of payment. My account was accidentally overdrawn because another check I wrote a few months ago was cashed. I live in Switzerland and don't live in the US, so I wasn't expecting it, and I asked for a little time to get the money together and would make sure was paid . He began to become very intense and began to threaten criminal charges if it were not taken care of. I tried to come up with a quick payment plan (allowing me time to transfer funds from Switzerland) to which he denied. I called him to try to work it out, and the response I got was astonishing.

    While I remained calm and try to work it out with him, he made the following quoted statements.

    "I know all the (police) officers at the station, I've done work for them, they will do whatever I tell them to do."
    * Three officers confirmed this was untrue.

    "You will never see your Swiss boyfriend again" You will rot in jail"
    * The same officers confirmed these are threats, and have no basis of truth.

    Less directly he mentioned "powerful partners" and mentioned his friend Joe P who's in the mob.

    Tree trimming and removal
    $2,750

    I hired Oscar's Tree service to remove a couple of large trees, small trees, and tree branches on my property. Oscar came out to give me a written estimate within a couple days of my call. His price was reasonable for the amount of work to be done and he was able to do the work the following week. He provided a copy of his liability insurance policy.
    His crew arrived on time as promised and they spent 5 hours on the job start to finish. They carefully planned the large tree removal to insure nothing hit our house. We had them cut up a large tree so we could later split it for firewood use. They piled up the cut pieces on the side of our yard to make it easy for us to access it.
    Oscar and his crew did a great job for us! They did everything we asked for on the written estimate and then some. They cleaned debris off our deck and yard. I would definitely hire them again!
