    I wish there was an option for 0 stars. Dawn and Stephen Mckinney are terrible to work with. During the initial consultation, Stephen took the time to highlight their commitment to quality and family values. Since September, we have experienced delays and been told literally every excuse you can think of, from the flu, their kids being sick, multiple ER visits, cancer scares and near death infections to phone-damaging car accidents. They would also disappear for days at a time after a check was collected. Well, 6 months later we have an unfinished paid in full project. As the previous reviewer stated, they will not return phone calls, texts, or emails. These people are scam artists, do not hire.

    If you like Excuses, You'll Love These Guys!

    DO NOT HIRE! We hired Outdoor Transformations to build a porch for us that was initially supposed to be complete by Halloween. It is now March and the project STILL is not finished because they have not paid their sub contractor (electrician). We found them very tacky and unprofessional when they went so far as to call us 3 times on Christmas Eve to pay them in full. We've called to check on the status multiple times, and its always a new excuse. While our situation could be worse, here is what we are stuck with..1) No electrical to hang our fans 2) They completely missed a few spots screwing the flooring down so the boards have warped and are uneven 3) We spent $600 + on a nice set of exterior doors that were hung incorrectly and when my wife called to remedy the situation, Stephen just laughed and was incredibly rude to her 4) No access to our basement; which I am sure will not pass codes. Completely unprofessional, full of excuses and lack of attention to detail from our experiences. If you are reading this because this happened to you, keep an eye out on your reviews. Looks like they scrub the internet and delete their accounts so bad reviews don't appear. They've already deleted their Thumbtack account so our reviews wont show.
    I encourage anyone living in TN who has had this experience with Outdoor Transformations or any other contractor to file a complaint with the Board for Licensing and Contractors using the link below. They actually publish a list of "Known Problem Contractors" for the consumer.

    Do NOT hire. They are crooks. Their initial company MCCLANAHAN FENCING & DECKS went out of business because they never completed projects and never maintained communication with clients AND they are repeating this pattern with Outdoor Transformations. They were hired in November 2014 and were fired February 2015 because they hadn't started the project they were hired for and were returning calls/emails...Now they are refusing to provide a full refund for the deposit provided (~$7000). DO NOT HIRE.
