  Replace bathroom sink faucet set and water pressure regulator

  $1,600

  Beware! Do NOT use Overland Plumbing. Ever! They are both incompetent and dishonest.

  We called to have Overland install a bathroom faucet set. The plumber came, installed the faucet set, and said we also needed a new water pressure regulator and that our regulator should be moved. He said the regulator cost $700 and the labor to install and move it was another $600. I told him $700 seemed really high for a regulator, but he said he would bring me the receipt. When I paid him and asked for the receipt, he said he hadn't gotten one but I could call Ferguson Plumbing Supply to confirm the price. He also said he hadn't moved the regulator but would come back and do it later (even though I had already paid him for it).

  After he left, I discovered he had installed the faucet handles backwards (which meant they rotated 360 degrees without stopping), and he hadn't installed the new drain stopper at all; he had left the old drain stopper in, even though it didn't work with the new faucet set. I also called Ferguson Plumbing Supply with the part number for the regulator and found out it would cost me $200 to buy (and I'm sure plumbers get a discount). We called the owner of Overland Plumbing, Isaac, to complain, and he sent another plumber who managed to fix the faucet problems in two visits, but only after having to go through the first plumber's truck to find the missing drain stopper that he had taken with him. The second plumber also installed a new union on our water pressure regulator so it didn't need to be moved.

  Isaac said he would check into the overcharge for the regulator and get back to me. I followed up with him multiple times over the next three months, and he repeatedly said he was looking into it. At one point he sent me a list of parts the first plumber had supposedly purchased to replace and move our water regulator and said that explained the $700 charge. I sent him a picture of our water regulator and asked him to come to our house to show me where the parts on the list had been used. At that point Isaac admitted none of the parts had been used at our house and said he would said me a check for $500 (the overcharge for the regulator). Two weeks later when I hadn't received the check I followed up with him yet again. This time he said the second plumber had installed a new part (the union) that cost $150, the labor for the installation was $150, and therefore that was a $600 value (figure that math out), so he didn't owe me anything. That makes no sense, because (1) $150 + $150 doesn’t equal $600, and (2) I wasn’t complaining about the cost of the labor and ancillary parts to install the new regulator, I was complaining about $500 overcharge for the cost of the regulator itself.

  I have never posted a negative review of anyone before, but my experience with Overland Plumbing was so bad that I thought it important to post this review so others don't have the same problems that I did.
