Elder abuse by James Owens the Con man, asked for $500 up front, 'cash only' never saw him again. He took advantage of my elderly, trusting parents. Shame on you James!!

James Owens has done exemplary work in cleaning/repairing our gutters and in dealing with gull nesting prevention work on our roof during the past 2-3 year period. He has been timely, prompt, on-time and responsive to our questions and concerns, and is also friendly, and professional. He is knowledgeable in recommending innovative solutions to gutter problems. His pricing has always been reasonable. We have a large condominium complex that is challenging in that the roof is 3-4 stories high. I cannot thank James enough for the good work that he has done for us in the past and we plan on employing his services in the future.

DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CON-MAN CHEAT. I hired James OwensRaingutters to replace 3 gutters and install gutter screens that were being loaded up by debris from a nearby Redwood tree. The quote was a bit over $1000. James Owens assured me this work was 100% professional and 100% guaranteed. Due to my work, I was unable to be there to watch Owens do the work. Huge mistake. I was notified the work was done as scheduled. I stopped by the jobsite and FROM THE GROUND, I could see the new gutters had been installed. My untrained eye assessed the job had been done. WRONG. Within 1 month THE GUTTERS FAILED. . I called James Owens Raingutters. James was courteous and said he would be out the next day to correct any issues. HA DID NOT SHOW UP. I got on a ladder to inspectvthe gutters more closely. GUTTERGAURDS Wwere NOT installed despite being in the workorder and being paid for. Again, I paid over $1000 for, 3 gutters with guttergaurds only. MULTIPLE TEXTS MANY CALLS LATER, promises to fix the problems. He has never kept his word and never showed to fix any of the issues. He has now blocked my calls. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CON-MAN. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

terrible hired james to pressure wash roof and clean out gutters. he only did roof and did not touch the gutters. after he left i inspect the gutters to follow up and they all were still filled with debris . when immediately notified him he blamed his crew who told him it was done. he was onsite the entire time so i don’t believe him. he said he would refund me $200 for not during that period of the work this was on 7/2/21 as of today 8/11/21 he still has not paid and i have 24 txt conversations with him promising to come and drop off the money. i even have one of his guys urinating on my fence caught by my ring flood camera. he’s a rip off and a liar, dishonest and is a prime example why contractors have a bad reputation. my name is paul contact me if you want to see the txt conversations of james admitting to everything and promising to pay but has not yet done so. DO NOT HIRE this guy!!!

Hired James to remove old gutters and and install seamless gutters back in early August. upon completion I had concerns about the placement of the downspouts and the direction they were directing water runoff. He came back and made adjustments with an additional charge.
We had our first rain last month and found water running into our garage. Upon inspection I found that an end cap that was not sealed, one part of a gutter flow against gutter causing the water to over flow running into the garage. I spent the weekend inspecting the gutters that were leaking out of the end caps.
Unbelievably I found that Owns Raingutters never put gutter supports on any of the 100 feet of gutters (with the exception of 1 at the backdoor).
Needless to say it took James from Nov 24 when he was notified to correct the problem on Dec 2.

I had a very good experience with James and Owens Rain Gutters. I feel I got a really good product at a fair price and James was a real pleasure to work with. He did a thorough inspection prior to making his bid, told me there were existing gutters I did not need to replace but that he could match with the new, and satisfactorily answered all my questions. They even added about 150 feet of gutter guard that I supplied for just a very small fee, and I know it took them several extra hours of work.

There was a relatively minor scheduling issues that prevents him from getting a 5-Star rating, That said, I would hire him again and recommend his company for your gutter work.

Total rip off. He took a $200 deposit on the gutter repair job at my house and never came back. Repeated texts and phone calls got nothing but lies in return. DO NOT TRUST JAMES OWENS.
