I would not do business with this company for the following reasons: committed to do the work on an approximate $95,000 job; did not do what he said he would do in starting the job he kept putting me off but was collecting money; did not provide me with a contract to sign in a timely fashion and once I did receive it I could not sign it because of it demands; dug a small amount of trenches around the garage and front of home for irrigation and when we decided to part ways just left them, huge safety issue; didn't pay a subcontractor for the work they completed for over 45 days in the amount of $10,000, I pay the subcontractor and then within a few days he ask me for additional funds; would not give me an itemized list of the $9,000 that he kept after cancelling the contract. Didn't supervise the subcontractor close enough and or get permits for the rock wall that was over 4 feet tall, thus costing me an addition $1,200; had to hire an attorney to get funds back at a cost of $2,500.
Response from Pacific Aina Management LLC June 25, 2020Dear Carol Ann, We are disaspointed to see your review and would like to provide some insight into the matter which was omitted while we work with Buildzoom to provide the appropriate backup to substantiate this review as this is not an accurate reflection of our business doings. Pacific Aina Management, LLC always strives for customer success and we did with you. Unfortunately due to the financial circumstances with a specific payment, as you may recall, due to payment issues we were no longer able to provide credit for your project and immediately proceeded to stop work as you noted above until a replacement payment was received. We are a smaller company and we cannot afford to extend credit to customers when payments are not followed thru on- we apologize about any issues this may have caused. In regards to the rock wall height- the design and contract that was completed, clearly stated the wall was to be completed at 4'-0" in height. Following the cancellation of contract, Pacific Aina Management, LLC, had no further liability or say as far as what transpired between the masonry contractor and you as the owner which was agreed upon in writing. Understandably, as the owner- you choose to pay them directly at which point any construction related issues were outside of our control. The contract along with plans clearly stated the wall were supposed to be 4'-0" in height which will be supplied to Buildzoom for their records. Following our best efforts of mitigating your contractual concerns, we had no further choice but to cancel the contract under the Terms and Conditions following our in-person meeting, and proceeded to mediation in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. While we understand this can be financially cumbersome- as the contractor the materials that were procured for the project needed to be sorted thru which is why the process of mediation exists. This is why any payment was withheld as a demand for payment of the contract balance in full when work and materials were purchased and/or performed was unreasonable. Thru your attorney, a resolution was reached and the negotiated payment for the contract balance less materials purchased and labor services performed- was returned to you which is standard contract procedure. We respectfully request again (we requested this thru your attorney as well) to please stop writing inaccurate and defamatory reviews along with contacting our employees family members regarding this dispute. It has been concluded. As we noted to your attorney- harassment will not be tolerated by Pacific Aina Management, LLC. We hope this input provides clarity of the situation. Pacific Aina Management, LLC proceeded with our business doings with you as honestly and fairly as possible given the difficult circumstances.

My contracting business used Pacific Aina Management for the landscaping on a spec home in Waikoloa we built in 2019. They installed the landscaping, irrigation provided the plants which we they grew at their nursery. Their plants were high quality, the irrigation system worked very well and the overall look of the landscape was natural and beautiful (or whatever word you want to use). I would use them again for planning and landscaping of my future homes.
