By David J.January 14, 2022Install Dishwasher$600
I actually had a good experience with this company and the installation of my costco purchased dishwasher. I was worried after reading the dismal reviews of them. I did not get any communication from anyone about when the delivery would occur. But further research on my part indicated that this may have been a problem with Costco not giving them my correct phone number. However, when Pacific couldn't reach me, they should have let Costco know (as Costco had no problem reaching me), Other than that, the installer arrived within the 4 hour window as promised. He texted me when on the way with an ETA, which was greatly appreciated. He was friendly, professional and did an efficient installation job. I was happy with the services from this installer.

Pacific West is one of the best companies that I have ever worked with! They communicate with me about everything that goes on with my order and my installation went so smooth! I would definitely recommend this company!

I ordered this dishwasher from Costco. The delivery was on schedule and went off without a hitch. I have no complaint about the dishwasher but the install is another story. Pacific West Home Improvements, Inc. is the company that was sent out to install my appliance.
I took off work twice for installation appointments.
1st Install appt: told to have outlet installed because my current dishwasher is hard-wired and they won’t hard-wire appliances. They will only plug it into an outlet. It’s $150.00 for him to install an outlet. They also said the sub floor needed to be replaced. I called a carpenter who said the floor was fine and didn’t need to be replaced. I called my electrician to install the outlet.
2nd appt: The installer (different guy) said I need a new valve because the water wouldn’t turn all the way off (in relatively new plumbing?!!!). He could do it for $150 more. The last guy turned off the water and didn't say there was a problem. I expressed my skepticism but he said it had to be done or he couldn’t do the installation today. I didn't want to take off work again so I told him to go ahead and replace it. It probably took 3 minutes ($150!!!). Later, he mentioned that his company likes it when they do extra work because it brings in more money. I am upset about this. Besides the fact that he scratched my hardwood floors while installing the dishwasher, I feel ripped off about the valve replacement.
I spent numerous hours and phone calls with Costco regarding this complaint. It took awhile to get to the right department, but evidently they won't do anything about this. Now I have a friend who had his dishwasher installed incorrectly by Pacific West and is having a hard time getting them to come and fix it.
I usually love Costco but as long as Pacific West is their installer, I will not be purchasing anymore appliances from them nor any other business that uses this company. It is a shame because my appliances are breaking down and I thought I was going to order them all through Costco. -

Stay far far away from these people. Horrible communication and scheduling. My Costco dishwasher was delivered on Tuesday. I was told that a scheduler will contact me to schedule a date to install. Lo and behold a few hours later, Pacific West shows up to install my dishwasher but I was no longer home. They provided a card with contact info on it. I called said number that was left behind and no one answered. I left a message but no one called back. I called the next day and ran into the same issue. I continued to call and someone finally answered and stated I will be scheduled for the Thursday between 2pm-6pm. At around 130pm on Thursday, I received a call stating my install will be scheduled for the Friday. Confused now so I called and told them I was scheduled on Thursday at 2pm-6pm. The dude (same guy I’ve been talking to) was confused but nonetheless, told me they had my order mixed up and I will still have installers come between 2pm-6pm. Well, not to my surprise, one showed up. I called the number numerous times but no one answered. Calling Costco instead now.

Absolutely terrible company. Bought an appliance Package through Costco and received beginning of February. it’s now end of March and half of my package is not installed and sitting in my garage. we’ve rescheduled three times and three times they promised to be here and they just never showed up or called. absolutely terrible on Costco’s part to be hiring a company like this

They were scheduled to install a dishwasher. Didn't show up for first appointment. During the 4 hour window of the second appointment, I called their office, and they confirmed they're still coming. They never showed up.

They were scheduled to install a dishwasher on 1/12 that I purchased from Lowe’s in December. They didn’t even call until the 12th and couldn’t fit us in until 1/21. They came on 1/21 and said they could not install it because we needed electrical work. We got the work done on 1/22 and called them immediately. They gave us a new date of 1/27 for install. I called on the 27th to find out when they were coming and I was told they were not coming. I insisted they come today since I had an appointment and they said it would be on 2/2. I got upset now being canceled on twice and demanded they find time to come and the customer service rep was unbelievably condescending and told me not to talk to him that way because he was older than me and he could tell by my voice. After reading all their one star reviews and seeing this is a recurring problem with this business, I called Lowe’s and asked for a new installer.

By S. V.December 7, 2019Best Buy hired him to install a gas cooktop$420
Purchased a gas cooktop at Best Buy in Santa Rosa. They contracted the installation to Pacific West. Installer's name was George. After unit was installed, George did not check for gas leaks. Amerigas red-tagged the installation and shut off gas to unit. George also did not fasten the cooktop to the counter. Left it swimming on my granite. Dangerous installer. Stay away from any company that would employ someone so incompetent.
P.S. When I called him about the problem 209-200-6777, George hung up on me. -

Pack West installed a dishwasher & didn’t hook it up correctly. Now my place is flooded & has mold growing. Mike's quality is horrific. Not only has he caused thousands of dollars worth of Damage- he won’t repair it and he won’t return calls.

By a user in Santa ClaraMarch 14, 2018New hood and blower installation$5,000
Horrible non service. Installed hood system and after it didn't function they blamed the manufacturer. The manager Mike says he is "working" on a solution. Been saying that for months now. We are going to sue Pacific West.

There is a reason why this company only has 2 stars. Soooooo UNPROFESSIONAL. I called to have my installation appointment for the same day as delivery, as Costco states will happen. They were rude, did not want to adhere to this policy, not flexible and unwilling to work with the customer. I asked to speak to a manager and Andrew said there wasn't one in. I asked him to have one call me.
Kristen called me about five minutes later and her kids were screaming in the background and she was unwilling to work with me. I told her the whole experience was unprofessional and she responded with, "Well you can use someone else to do your install then."
Since I was not the one choosing them and instead was told they were the company Costco uses, I called Costco and complained. Costco has such great customer service and for this company to be representing them in such a rude manner, is very unfortunate for Costco. Thankfully, Costco refunded me the installation fee and I can now hire a company that has more than 2 stars and a better reputation. After reading reviews here, I hope Costco chooses to end their relationship and go with a more reliable company.
As for the employee, Kristen; she needs to attend some customer service classes, hire a babysitter while working, and learn how to be professional. Pacific West should look into hiring more suitable employees.
