  Horrible con man, liar and thief. Do NOT use him!! He did okay at first painting my house exterior, but he never replaced the large bay window his sub-contractors broke. They left a bunch of work undone that he'd been paid to do. He doesn't actually do any work. He gets others to do it. He's like a middleman but he's the one you have to pay. Refuses to take phone calls after he gets your money and leaves work half done. Very hard to track down. I made a BIG mistake to use him without checking him out online. He deserves no stars - a zero rating would not be too low.

  House Exterior Painting

  Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with Ron in September/October of 2016 when I hired him to repaint my house. Everything went well at first; his crew showed up every day, made good progress and the house looked great, though they did openly complain to him that he wasn't providing enough paint for the job. We paid for two coats, but probably got only one. It was toward the end of the project when we presented him with a punch list that he decided it was too much work and abandoned us. We also pre-paid him to replace a basement window which, of course, he never completed. I suppose we came out luckier than some of Ron’s other clients since he finished 95% of the project, but the big shame is that he can do good work if he wants to. He did constantly ask for money, but I only doled it out when I felt enough progress had been made. Ron did a lot of work for one of my neighbors who recommended him highly. I believe she was able to monitor him constantly which may be the reason her experience was positive, but I would never use him again. My neighbor received other negative feedback about Ron from other she had recommended to him. She said she’ll never hire him again despite the beautiful job he did for her. I hope Ron will clean up his act if he hasn’t done so already, but he’s likely trashed his own reputation forever.

  Beware, wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Gets paid and abandons job. Please avoid. Poor quality work, Nothing completed. Had to redo everything. No promises kept. Has no credit with subs or suppliers, so asks homeowner to buy materials and pay subs. Had to pay suppliers and specialty shops twice to get my gate and shutters out of hock. Paid Ron to pay suppliers and subs, then I paid them again after Ron abandoned job and suppliers. Does not answer calls or letters. Has not resolved issues. I have reported to every relevant agency. Not worth suing because there are other court judgements ahead of you. My rating is less than poor. Experience was horrible.
