My experience with Palm Construction, Eagle Lake was a nightmare. I signed a contract on 6/25/21 and was bullied to writing a check for a closing bill on 8/17/21/ I wanted to hold back 10% for 30 days which I think is my legal right and they threatened to remove 10% of my roof. and bullied me into writing a closing check. Palm showed up infrequently. They left a lot of large metal sheets on my lawn for long periods of time in effect killing my Saint Augustine grass to the tune of thousands of dollars in replacement cost. They said they would take care of fixing the lawn and they brought two little trays of plugs for over hundreds of square feet of damages.
I assume, they worked on other jobs or "waited for materials" they under ordered to show up to work They did not notify me when they would come or go. I had to call them repeatedly to find out when or if they were working on any given day . Every day they worked I had to check my driveway for screws and nails finding many over a period of days they worked. My roof was not properly finished by my existing venting. They damaged a lot a bit of my aluminum siding. I had to provided chalk to help make the repairs to the siding look at the least, presentable. Whenever I voiced my concerns they would say" we are not finished yet" At the end of the job I never received the wind mitigation report that is in the contract and Palm Construction has not return my calls.
Up date
9/9/21 Palm Construction has not returned any of my calls. It has since rained and my new, over 20 K metal re-roof is leaking. I have still not received the wind mitigation report that is in the contract. I have to find someone else to fix my new roof. I am in affect warning anyone about this company. They can be very charming and make promised and contractual obligations they do not keep. Their warranty is apparently worthless in my experience at his date. They have caused me so much stress over months of time and in these Cova times it has been especially difficult. It is a terrible thing actually at any time. On to the next contractor! I wish I could up load pictures! NO stars! I wish I knew about Build Zoom and their resources before I started this project.
