We can’t say enough about Papaneri and Sons! Mario Jr. came to the house within a few days of calling for an estimate on our front porch, driveway and walkways late last fall, but due to personal issues, we needed to wait until the spring to follow through. The Papaneris honored the estimate they gave us five months ago without hesitation. We only waited a month for them to start the work. Although there were a few changes to our original plan (minor issues and the addition of a retaining wall), Mario Sr. explained every alteration so that we understood why he was suggesting the changes and every change was worth it. Their teams, including his sons Nick and Mario Jr., worked diligently and in a professional manner the entire time they were on site. My husband even complimented on their artistry and how meticulous the team was in making sure the finished product was up to our standards. Working with Denise was wonderful! I called 3 contractors and Papaneri & Sons was the only one who responded within a day of asking them to come over and give me an estimate. Mario himself came out and within minutes I knew his company was the one I was going with. I felt like I was talking to one of my favorite Uncle's. He has a great personality and is very respectful. He went over every detail of the job, which was a total replacement of a 2-car driveway, walkway, and step to the front porch, which he made wider than normal to help my elderly In-laws walk down easier and then he even did the landing on the side of my house as a bonus! He was even nice enough to save me money by asking me if he could leave his signs on the lawn for an extra week or so. In addition, once the job was done, Mario came back with bags of topsoil and filled all the surrounding gaps around where they had dug up. NO OTHER COMPANY DOES THAT! He goes beyond his means to make sure the job was done right, and he is present, not watching his guy’s work, but working himself making sure it was done to his and my satisfaction! If I ever need concrete work I’m not even calling anyone else Mario & his wife (the owners) came out to give us a quote the same day I messaged them on Facebook messenger. We got a quote before they left. It was a middle of the road quote. We got higher and lower the year before. We decided to go with them because they were such great people and we had seen other driveways they recently did in the neighborhood. Scheduling was a breeze and they came back to walk through the design and outline it. When they came to do the work the whole crew was really nice and respectful. The work was top notch. They’ve been back a few times to check on things, clean it off, and lay some topsoil around the driveway.

We just had our concrete redone and widened. It’s amazing and definitely the best experience we’ve had with any work we’ve done to any of the houses we lived in. Terrible experience with Papaneri concrete. We contracted with them for a new driveway, walkways, and a patio. The walkways and patio were to be colored tan. The patio and 7/8ths of one of the walkways are almost the correct color. The other full walkway and remaining 1/8th are a horrible peach color. The crew also damaged our siding, improperly installed a drainage pipe, allowed a pile of concrete to dry on a landscaping bed next to the new walkway. Last but not least, Papaneri and Sons installation of our driveway is so poor that water ponds over the entire width of the driveway and puddles exist in various places. The driveway they replaced drained perfectly but Mario Papaneri now claims it can't be done. Our landscaper's comment "I've followed behind a lot of concrete guys but this is one of the worst I've ever seen." Regrettably, we paid Mario Papaneri up - front and in full. This is definitely a case of getting what you pay for. They are cheaper for a reason, they don't provide quality workmanship, have pride in their work or stand behind their product. You will pay for it when you have to hire someone else to fix all of the damage and repair Papaneri's shoddy work. Mario Papaneri promptly cashed our check. Don't fall for it when he says "trust me, it will be beautiful." Mario Papaneri will not take responsibility for any of the work, buyer beware.

Horrible company. They damaged my existing sidewalk and driveway apron during install. Tried for 5 months to get them to come out and make repairs. Had no luck with that. Sued them for damages, won a judgment against them, and still they haven't paid the judgment amount. Now we are at almost a year later, and the concrete is cracking and spalling everywhere, looks horrible, and I haven't received a dime to make repairs with. I couldn't recommend them to anyone.

I have referred many of my friends and family to this company as well, and everyone tells me how satisfied they are with their work too! Mario Papaneri was such a nice and friendly contractor. I had a few other estimates done before settling with Papaneri, and the other guys were rude and demanding and just wanted to make a sale, but Mario was patient while my husband and I made a decision. I would definitely recommend Mario Papaneri and Papaneri and Sons Concrete for any and all of your concrete needs!
