  This jokester was caught red handed looking around in my wifes panty drawer. He claimed his tape measure that was set on top of dresser fell into the drawer when he was doing our window measurements. The windows he was to repair are at the other end of the house. Hes a very, very sick man. When exposed he denied even knowing anything about it. So beware of this predator with a hammer and neasure. He will lie, take your money and never return again. And no people, hes not licensed. He is currently facing criminal charges however so maybe THAT will keep him from scamming people for a while!

  Roof replacement

  $7,500

  Papineau took our $7,500 and never did our roof replacement. He lied about using our money to purchase materials. Never returned calls. He refuses to return our money.
  He is also under criminal investigation by the Delta Sheriff.

  I would not recommend Brent Papineau as a contractor.
  He is dishonest and doesn't finish his work. Brent constantly lies, he says he going to be there but doesn't show up. If he does come he doesn't stay long he says he has to leave because he needs to babysit his daughter, he also says he has no help and it's because of Covid19. Everyone is either out sick or has died. He has also lost a lot of family members from Covid 19.
  I hired Brent Papineau to put a dormer on the back of my house and do the roof. he said he was busy but he would come and get it done. This was in late August, he showed up in October. He said we couldn't work on the roof until we addressed the front porch. I said okay give me a price, the next thing I knew he took all the siding off one complete side of my house, while I was in Escanaba. He said he had to because my windows were water damaged. I didn't see any water damage and he didn't make any repairs. I had a stucco siding and after he took one side off it off it had to be all replaces, he told me he would use a good siding, in the end it was cheap plastic from Menards. My job was over priced at 8 thousand and went to 38 thousand and no it's not finished. He replaced my windows with cheap windows and he never used a level to make sure they were straight. Be careful he uses cheap or damaged materials from Bargain barns. when I asked how much he paid he said 1200. Now he wouldn't give a name. But there is no way 12 windows and a patio door cost 1200 dollars. They were the cheapest windows you can buy and he never built in headers. I gave him a picture of house I liked so he would know what I wanted but he just cheapens everything down so it looks terrible. Brent also said he couldn't finish the roof because someone stole his materials from where he left them outside on the ground uncovered. I called the police and the officer told my husband and I that he did not furnish them with receipts so they could not say for sure if that the materials were stolen. They did not believe him. I would not recommend Brent Papineau to anyone.

  B&J CONSTRUCTION owner Brent Papineau refused to honor a 3 year written Warranty he gave me on my roof replacement in RETALIATION for a NEGATIVE REVIEW! I would not deal with this CROOK! I don't think he is even licensed!

  Build Deck

  $5,800

  B&J CONSTRUCTION ESCANABA MICHIGAN. Brent Allen Papineau (owner) is a liar, dishonest , untrustworthy and does not return phone calls. He still has my $3000 deposit and has not even started work that per contract was to be completed over 2 months ago. He will not issue refund of my $3000 nor complete contracted work. Will have to take him to court with additional legal costs. I would not recommend him to anyone.
